Pitches Be Crazy

Hosted and featuring Pitches Be Crazy!

Mike Why

A genre-bending one man vocal band, Mike Why is a mouthdrummer, vocalist, and live looper who engages audiences of all ages, and from coast to coast. His brand of "A Cappella for One" has landed at Contemporary A Cappella Society festivals such as SoJam (Raleigh, NC) and the Texas A Cappella Celebration, International Live Looping Festivals in Austin, Los Angeles, and the San Francisco Bay; San Antonio's Luminaria Festival, and the Hard Rock Las Vegas

Catatonic

Atlanta's newest all-vocal band! Andrew, Tye, John, Carrie, Steve and Tammy love singing and are bringing a new sound to the Atlanta music scene.

Epic

We started making some Epic noise in early 2011, when Chris and Kris starting digging around for singers with a different first name. We found Anne, who is sufficiently loud. And we found Shana, who is, indeed, a former Miss Maryland. In 2012, Epic was named quartet champions for Harmony, Inc.!

We like Epic shoes, Epic tags and Epic rehearsals.

We are also fortunate to receive some Epic coaching from the talented Richard Lewellen, who has this nasty habit of switching around who is singing what part!

Halo

Shana Oshiro (Tenor) earned her Vocal performance degree from Morgan State University. She holds master’s certificate degree from Shenandoah University in Music Therapy and is a music therapist, board-certified, working with adolescents and elderly. Shana still has a passion for classical singing, and her voice has won her two crowns: First, as the 2007 Miss Maryland, and the other as the 2012 Queen bass of Epic Quartet. Most importantly, she has a beautiful family with her husband Andy, their gorgeous little son Kenshin, and their two best pals, Kuma (golden doodle) and Kuro (black lab).

Nadira France (Lead) is the youngest member of HALO. She is a sophomore at Morgan State and is a voice major, studying as a dramatic soprano. Nadira also sings bass in an SAI quartet Sweet As Sugar, who placed in the regional contest of Sweet Adelines last year in Ocean City. She is also baritone/bass with the Star Spangled Chorus- Dundalk Chapter of the Sweet Adelines International.

Niambi Powell (Baritone) has been singing her whole life, in the car and on the stage with her Motown band, "The Regressions" in a girl group with her mother and sister, Shana. Cut from the same cloth, Niambi set the stage for their sisterhood of beauty queendom as Miss Maryland Teen USA 2000. With music and beauty always in the foreground of her livelihood, Niambi holds a Master's degree in Family and Social Sciences and is a social worker for the region of Montgomery County. She is excited to join this quartet for a new adventure with Harmony, Inc.

Jasmine Barnes (Bass) is a senior at Morgan State University, soon to graduate with a BFA in Voice and Composition. She is an incredible dramatic soprano and talented choral/a capella arranger whose works have been featured on concerts given by the internationally acclaimed Morgan State University Choir. We look forward to using all of her amazing talents as our bass!

The King's Post

King's Post is an adult vocal ensemble from Blacksburg, Virginia with a bent towards Pop and Pop Culture. Aiming for the familiar and recognizable, they will co-op almost any style to bring a smile to the audience. Influences on the group reach back to satirists of the mid 20th century, rock legends, theatrical composers, and anything with modern geek cred.
