Brian Fallon & the Crowes
Brian Fallon has announced plans for his hugely anticipated debut solo album. Painkillers is set to arrive in early 2016 via Island Records in the United States and EMI records in the United Kingdom.
Painkillers will mark the first solo album from Fallon, known far and wide as singer/guitarist of the one and only Gaslight Anthem, as well as such acclaimed outfits as The Horrible Crowes and Molly & The Zombies. The album will be recorded later this year in Nashville, TN, in collaboration with Butch Walker (Taylor Swift, Frank Turner, Keith Urban).
Surely one of rock's most electrifying and engaging live performers, Fallon recently was among the stars at New York City's Neil Fest: A Night to Celebrate the Music of Neil Young, benefitting the Sweet Relief Musicians Fund on behalf of the Jameson® Neighborhood Fund. The New Jersey-based songwriter's solo acoustic rendition of "After The Gold Rush" earned him acclaim in Rolling Stone's "10 Best Things We Saw At Neil Fest" wrap-up, naming him "Best Coffeehouse Folkie" while praising his "fragile, innocent take" and noting how "Fallon made Young's immortal tune sound like an early Gaslight Anthem outtake, complete with crowd sing-alongs."
