(ThyBlackMan.com) The great thing about technology is that our lives are made much easier than before. Whether it’s preparing our meals or speaking to loved ones on the phone, we have been able to take advantage of technological advances in different ways. But along with this comes a few problems, particularly in regards to electromagnetic fields. With the electrical appliances and equipment we make use of, we are inadvertently exposed to EMFs in our everyday lives – and this can have a drastic impact on our health if it isn’t curbed or checked. So the big question is, what can you do to reduce your exposure to EMFs in your home? Here are some simple and easy ways:
Be mindful of your WiFi
Every home nowadays has a WiFi connection, and there’s one thing you can do with this, especially at night: turn it off. Turning off your WiFi when it isn’t in use or in the evening before you go to sleep can go a long way in reducing your exposure to EMFs. You should also turn off other appliances which are connected to your WiFi, such as your printer.
Switch to wired connections
Speaking of WiFi, you might be able get rid of it altogether and just switch to an Internet connection via an Ethernet cable. This way, you can just plug in the wires of the cable to your computer or laptop, thus eliminating the WiFi signals in your home. Another option is doing away with your cordless telephone. It’s better to just switch to a land-based telephone rather than a cordless one, as the cordless one emits a much higher level of electromagnetic fields. Additionally, you can replace your wireless mouse with a wired mouse, a wireless keyboard with a wired one, and do away with Bluetooth speakers, if you have any. The point is to switch to wired connections whenever you possibly can.
Use your mobile phone carefully
We all need mobile phones, especially when we want to keep in touch with friends, family, associates, and so on. But you don’t have to be affected by the EMFs being emitted by your cell phone, either. When using your phone, don’t place it right next to your ear – use the mobile phone’s speaker mode instead. Better yet, use a headset.
Also, try not to place your cell phone right next to your body, such as in your pocket. Store it in a purse or backpack, and do not keep it on your bedside table at night.
These are indeed some simple and easy ways to reduce your EMF exposure, but there’s more. If you’re really concerned about the level of EMF in your home, you can benefit from specially-designed EMF protection products such as an EMF pendant, which you can easily wear at any time for added protection. It’s always better to be safe than sorry, after all.
