Lavender and Lemon Daily Face Cleanser (suitable for all skin types)
Combine the following essential oils and carrier oil and store in a glass jar in the fridge for 1-2 weeks; use day and night, apply to face in a circular motion and wipe clean.
6 tablespoons sweet almond oil
1 ½ tablespoons apple cider vinegar
1 ½ tablespoons water
4 drops lavender essential oil
2 drops lemon essential oil
Rose Anti-Aging Face Cleanser
Combine and store these essential oils & carrier oils in a dark glass jar; massage a small amount into face and rinse with warm water and wipe clean with a soft cloth. These are luxurious essential oils and a small amount will work well, so that it will last for awhile.
7 tablespoons jojoba oil
6 tablespoons grapeseed oil
5 tablespoons sweet almond oil
9 drops bergamot essential oil
7 drops rose essential oil
5 drops lavender essential oil
Clarifying Face or Body Scrub
Mix all ingredients in a glass or stainless steel bowl or cup; put mixture in your hands and apply directly to dry skin scrubbing gently in a circular motion. Rinse well and pat dry. Works best if you use before getting in the shower or washing your face.
½ cup coconut oil (I like to whip this up with a mixer just so it gets some of those chunks of oil a little smoother)
1 cup of fine sugar
6 drops of Neroli, jasmine or roman chamomile essential oil
Nighttime Facial Moisturizer
Combine these essential oils and carrier oils and store in a dark bottle; put 10 drops in the palm of your hand and apply before bed. This is meant to be worn overnight and not for daytime use.
4 teaspoons sweet almond oil
30 drops lavender essential oil
30 drops frankincense essential oil
15 drops tea tree essential oil
Skin Brightener
Combine each of the ingredients in a 1oz glass bottle; turn the bottle slowly allowing the oils to mix well. Use 4 drops on damp, clean skin. This balances skin tone while improving hyperpigmentation.
1oz sweet almond oil
8 drops sandalwood essential oil
4 drops lemon essential oil
Skin Toner
Mix all ingredients and place in a spray bottle, store in a cool dark place and spritz on clean skin twice a day. {I like to get my spray bottles at Walmart or Dollar Tree for $1 or less}
1 tablespoon witch hazel
1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar
4 drops jojoba oil
10 drops lavender essential oil
Lip Balms
You can make your own lip balm at home with a combination of coconut oil, beeswax, lavender and orange essential oils but personally, I find it easier to just buy them from Young Living (a company where we get our therapeutic grade, organic oils from). Young Living offers a few varieties of lip balm to choose from and a lip balm trio is available for members. Once you use essential oil lip balms, you’ll never go back to using the store kind. Essential oil lip balms leave behind hydrated, soft and supple lips and even accentuate the natural pigment of your lips.

Essential Oils to Use::
There are many, many brands of essential oils available on the market including ones you can find in stores, online retailers such as Amazon & more. However, both Sia & I have extensively researched using essential oils with our family & we have decided to use Young Living essential oils.
They are a bit pricier than what you’ll find in the stores, but we know that they have a very strict Seed to Seal process to ensure that they are pure, therapeutic grade oils with nothing added to them, that we feel completely safe using with our kids & our families. If you are wanting to make your own DIY beauty recipes, then you want to know everything you are putting into those recipes since you are using them on your face & body and with these Young Living essential oils, we know that we can trust that they have absolutely no chemicals in them.
Find out more about why we use Young Living Essential Oils and how you can save the most when buying these oils. Our favorite deal is the Premium Starter Kit, valued at over $300, including a diffuser and 11 essential oils. Plus some freebies such as a $20 Amazon Gift Card & more that we’ll send you to help you get started with the resources & supplies needed to start your wellness journey with oils.
