We are playing in a park on a cool spring day after the rain, we hit the open road for a summer drive, our kids are jumping into a pile of crunchy fresh fallen leaves, and we are bundled warmly as we roll snow to make a snowman. We create lasting memories all year long and look to capture these sweet memories through pictures!
The newly blown out birthday candle smell lingers in the air, the twinkle in our kid’s eye when they display their hand-crafted artwork, the sparkle of the Christmas tree lights reflecting through the house catches our eye as we take pictures of these life events that we will hold dear for years to come!
At the end of each year, we gather our photos all together and sort through them to try and choose the best ones! Recently, it’s become a family gathering surrounded by great stories to go along with each passing photo, and laughing, lots of laughing, as we look back over a year of fond memories.
Our picture sorting will hold sweet tender moments even closer for us as heaven welcomed my Grandmother this past year. It’s these times that remind us why we take time to make memories that will last a lifetime!
Our Fun Picture Party is around the corner and we are getting all things merry and bright for the occasion! I am a list maker and around my house, you will find checklists everywhere written on anything from notebook paper to a paper towel! This year I am making a party checklist so nothing is left out! Part of prepping for the photo party requires shopping for what we will enjoy sipping and snacking on while we sort through our photos. We head over to our local Acme and fill our cart with our favorite drinks and snacks. We get a little bit of everything to please everyone from those who like the fizzy pop of soda to the sweet taste of fresh brewed iced tea, to those who enjoy munching on treats sweet and salty!
Coca-Cola products are among our favorite drinks to enjoy and for this special gathering, we chose Sprite Cranberry and Gold Peak Tea!
We love the crisp, sweet bubbly Sprite with a hint of the holiday flavor of cranberry, and the fresh brewed sweet taste of Gold Peak. These drinks are great for our party and pair perfectly with our munchies! The drinks are the first to make the drink and snack table!
Time to get out the checklist and begin putting it all together! It’s hard not to sit down and begin to linger over each photo before everyone arrives! The checklist helps keep me going!
When our kids were very young we began a new tradition of creating a Shutterfly calendar for our families!
This has been our favorite photo gift to create year after year! It’s wonderful because each year Shutterfly adds new templates allowing you to make a different style calendar. We have also created cell phone cases, photo books, mugs and this year we plan on adding canvases to the mix!

Everyone has gone home, the photos are packed away, the photo gifts ordered, the twinkle of the Christmas tree lights shimmer and the memories of the party linger on. It was a night filled with great memories and fun that will always stay in our hearts! I can’t wait to see how our photo gifts turned out!
