This past weekend we kicked off the Mardi Gras season with our fifth Beggin’ Pet Parade (Pugs’ first). It was miserably cold so the crowds were smaller than usual. But we along with about 1,000 others braved the elements to strut our stuff.

I went with a royal court theme, making Pug and Pugs royal capes and turning the stroller into a Mardi Gras themed throne. And we even became finalists in the costume contest! You can vote for us here once daily through February 18th! If we win there is a cash prize and we’ll be inducted into the Mystical Krewe of Barkus.

This little mermaid is Gizmo, she’s a 13 year-old pug and I highly suggest you give her a vote in the Queen category finalists!

Marnie and Ellie are fellow finalists for “Most Loyal Subjects” but I won’t hold it against them because their costumes and stroller are too darn cute! The pugs were definitely well represented this year.

If you follow all of my posts, this cutie will look familiar. I’ve run into her at my local fall festival and Howloween festival.
