Here at ‘This is our Town’ we have compiled our list of events, whats on, and activities in Guildford this weekend. Check out our highlights below to see if anything catches your eye.

Cocktails and Dreams at The Wallington Arms. Saturday

Every weekend the Wallington Arms on woodcote rd hosts cocktails for £5 all day until 8pm, then after the pub will be bustling with people, providing the perfect night out. To find out more about the pub click here. The venue is next to the station making travel to and from easy, and with the weather were having it is the perfect time for a day of cocktails.

Visit RHS Garden Wisley

The Royal Horticultural Society garden is not only large but also has plenty to do, with play areas, coffee shops, a Restaurant and gift shop, where they sell organic and artisan products. The Victorians and Their Photographs

The Exhibition at Watts Gallery in Compton explores the history of Victorians and technology, especially in regards to photography. The exhibition explores societies discovery of new techniques and forms including Albumem Prints, Stereoscopes and Carte-de-visite. To buy tickets and view the gallery’s opening times click here.

The Loxwood Joust, Saturday & Sunday

Deep in Loxwood meadow enjoy a medieval day out, with live action jousting, clashes between fully armored knights, a medieval market, archery, fine ales, local organic fayre, and a bouncy castles. The authentic experience includes a groat currency and characters, making it a fun and unique family day out that can be enjoyed by the whole family. Guildford on Sea

Can’t make it to the seaside this summer? If no, then fear not, as the seaside will be brought to Guildford this weekend. Free to attend, the pop up beach on Onslow street is the perfect way to feel the sand between your toes and enjoy the summer without travelling too far. There will be plenty of entertainment in town near the event this weekend, so make sure to keep your eye out. The forecast looks to be sun, sun, sun so you won’t want to miss this event.
