It’s unbelievable what Russian artist Salavat Fidai can carve out of the graphite on the end of a pencil. Intricate and delicate details abound. It’s amazing that he can carve so accurately in this unforgiving and brittle medium. And so small too!

From carvings of stringed instruments to miniature replicas of famous landmarks like the Empire State Building and The Statue of Liberty, Fidai creates fine details while leaving the pencils intact. He also sculpts movie and comic book characters like Darth Vader and Batman.

He sells his art online and is amassing a following of fans for his meticulous art. Check out the video to see some of his unique creations.
