Celebrity Big Brother cast 'crisis' as American celebs refuse to play by the rules

American stars on the Celebrity Big Brother 2017 line up are reportedly putting the show into a crisis.

US stars booked for the new series - which launches on Tuesday night - are refusing to fly in until the last minute.

It's been claimed that contracts stipulated that housemates had to be in the UK this weekend, but many are refusing and not flying in until just before launch.

A source told the Daily Star newspaper: “Quite a few of the housemates who are flying in from America wanted to celebrate New Year’s Eve at home. They refused to agree to the flight time put forward by the production team.”

The late flights means the celebs will arrive with just hours to go before launch and in need of preparing for the series with photoshoots and filming VTs.

The source added: "This is causing a real headache for production staff. There are serious concerns things could go wrong if one of them misses their flight.”

American celebs rumoured for Celebrity Big Brother this month include couple Speidi - Spencer Pratt and Heidi Montag - as well as Austin Armacost, model Jasmine Waltz and rapper Ray J.

They will form part of the so-called New Stars v All Stars line up, with Channel 5 having previously confirmed a mix of former housemates returning alongside newbies.

Some British new stars rumoured include footballer Jamie O'Hara recent Apprentice candidate Jessica Cunningham and reality TV regular Bianca Gascoigne.
