What is the meaning of Memorial Day for you as a person? Is it a day to have fun by eating one of your favorite snacks? Is it time to take an extra nap or enjoy the sunshine? Whether it's that or simply the start of summer, Memorial Day has a greater significance than that.
This is a day that most people have never given much thought. This is because it is not just a day for soldiers to celebrate their time of service and be recognized. It is a day for Americans to realize that without the sacrifices that many soldiers have given up; we would not have this freedom.
They gave up their ambitions, their dreams, the lives and families to go out into battle and stand against enemies of freedom. Without the sacrifices of these past soldiers and those that are still serving, the US today would not be the same place it is today, a free land of opportunity.
In this video, an America, a biker decided to honor a marine, popularly referred as the saluting marine. We all thought he deserved it, can you imagine what would happen if you had to stand in the hot sun for four straight hours? She did so in the most unexpected way.
