COURSES
VR in Unity – Nick Pettit
Virtual reality is the combination of a head-mounted display and some clever software that creates the sensation of being in another place. What was once science fiction has rapidly become one of the most practical avenues to creating immersive entertainment, simulation and training, architectural visualization, and more. In this course, we’ll learn how to setup popular headsets like the Oculus Rift and the HTC Vive within the Unity game engine. Then, we’ll create a fun and challenging basketball game with realistic physics and sound that can be played in virtual reality.
Ruby on Rails 5 Basics – Jay McGavren
In this course, we’re going to set up a simple blogging app with just a handful of Rails commands. Then, we’ll dive into what we’ve created and help you really understand what’s going on. We’ll show you how to work with models, views, and controllers to quickly add new features to your app. By the end of this course, you’ll be ready to create basic web apps in Rails.

In this workshop, we’ll take a look at the popular software design pattern Observer.
Installing Rails 5 Development Environment on Linux – Jay McGavren
Join Jay to set up a Ruby on Rails development environment on Linux. We’ve chosen Ubuntu because it’s a very common distribution, but you should be able to adapt these directions for other distros without too much trouble.
