The Hart Brothers take on The Hart Foundation in the finals of our WCW Tag Team Title Tournament! Five unbelievable matches! Let' get it Michael Buffer for our first match of the night! Marty Jannetty taking on, "Flyin'" Brian Pillman!

Opening Match: Jump into the 90's!

Marty Jannetty vs Brian Pillman

This match was going to set the tone for the night, Jannetty showed up in WCW and immediately went after Brian Pillman, to claim his spot as the "Man of the 90s". The more we see of Marty Jannetty, the cockier he appears to be. We've seen a side of Jannetty we've never seen before while he was teaming up as one half of The Rockers. When Pillman's music hit, he wasted no time in running down to the ring, and attacking Jannetty instantly. These two risk takers, were making this match a brawl right from the get. Pillman smacked Jannetty so hard, his gum went flying into the third row! This was indeed personal for Pillman. Pillman was a half a second away from being The WCW Heavyweight Champion, and now finds his "spot" being challenged. The battle between Pillman and Jannetty saw several near falls for both men. Janetty decided it was time to take a risk. After hitting a Rocker Dropper, that failed to put Pillman away, Marty scaled the top rope. He went for a Fist Drop, but Pillman moved right at the last second! The crowd roared. Pillman then leaped up to the top rope, as he waited for Jannetty to get to his feet, Jannetty did and Pillman hit The FLYING CROSS BODY!

Brian Pillman connected on the FLYING CROSS BODY! But Jannetty used all of Pillman's momentum to roll through it. Jannetty was able to turn it into a pinfall! He was event close enough to the ropes to place his feet on the second rope for leverages, and the official was blind to it! Jannetty picked up the victory! He immediately rolled off of Pillman as Pillman sat straight up and placed his hands over his head in disbelief. Even Pillman didn't know Jannetty used the ropes for leverage. Jannetty rolled of the ring, and the official followed him to raise his hand in victory!

After The Match:Jannetty was breathing heavy, holding his fist high in the air. Pillman sat in the ring, again, in disbelief. Ray Rougeau met Jannetty in the aisle. Jannetty told Rougeau he did exactly what he said he was going to do , storm into WCW and prove to the world that the next "guy" heading into The 90's. Jannetty then mocked Pillman for sitting in the ring, crying. Jannetty put his hands over his face, just as Pillman had them after the match. Ray Rougeau mentioned Jannetty putting his feet on the ropes. Jannetty didn't deny, instead he embraced it. "If you're not cheating, you're not trying, Ray Ray!" Jannetty said it was Pillmans fault for allowing Marty to be so close to the ropes. Jannetty goes on to say that now that Pillman is over and done wih, he has his sights set on something to wrap around his waist. As the Jannetty continued, Pillman came storming into the frame.

Pillman had just found out that Jannetty used his feet on the ropes to gain the upper hand. Pillman told Jannetty his win was "tainted". Again, "MJ" didn't care. Jannetty said Pillman wouldn't have kicked out an ways. The two men came nose to nose and Jannetty told Pillman, maybe he should find a tag team partner, some guys aren't cut out for singles competition. Pillman took a swing at Jannetty and the two men began to brawl as WCW officials broke them up. This one seems far from over.

Backstage: The Hart Foundation was standing by. Bret pacing back and forth, while Anvil did the majority of the talking. Anvil said he hates to see The Hart Family in turmoil, and that's what they have been like ever since Bruce and Keith showed up to WCW tarnishing their own family name. Jim says he thinks of Stu as a father, and would do anything to protect him and The Hart Family. Bret takes off his sunglasses and looks dead into the camera. He says he feels like The Hart Family has been mourning since the professional wrestling draft due to the approach Keith and Bruce have taken to become relevant. Bret claims nobody has forgotten Keith or Bruce, and the name of their alliance The Forgotten Sons speaks to their own delusional personalities. Bret says it's ironic that all Keith and Bruce want to do is cement their own legacy in professional wrestling, and to do that they have to through the little brother who they have built up in every way possible. Bret says after tonight, after Jim and The Hitman raise the WCW World Tag Team Titles, he wants Bruce and Keith t "do the right thing" apologize to Mom and Dad, shake their hands, and switch their anger in a more positive direction. As The Hart Foundation walks off, we are taken to he broadcast booth where Jesse Ventura is laughing. Jesse says he can see the fear in Hart's eyes, and hear it in his voice. He knows The Hart Foundation is about to be embarrassed by their seniors.

WCW Television Championship Match

Lord Steven Regal vs Dustin Rhodes ©

Jesse Ventura announces to the fans that we are just under 15 minutes away from a new television champion. Bischoff says that remains to be seen. Dustin Rhodes was successfully defending his title week in and week out before Lord Steven Regal got involved. Ventura pointed out that Regal saved Rhode's title reign went he interfered in his match against Joe Malenko! You could tell that Rhodes wanted to get his hands on Regal, he chased him around the ring from the get!

Regal ducked and dived out of the ring into the waiting arms of Dave Taylor, which got a big negative reaction from the crowd. Rhodes started stamping his foot, until the whole arena was doing it. Regal, covering his ears, demanding the fans "tone it down!" Regal's distraction with the crowd allowed for Rhodes to grab him by the hair and drag him into the ring. The son of a son proceeded the put a "whoopin" on his lordship, from turnbuckle to turnbuckle. Rhodes sligh size advantage, as well as the frustration mounting from the last month of Regal's antics, left Rhodes with an edge!

Even Dave Taylor's constant jawing with Rhodes wasn't enough to stop him from focusing on punishing Regal! It wasn't until Regal, was literally one his knees, begging Rhodes for mercy that he was able to turn the tide. As Rhodes came in for another blow to the head, Regal grabbed the tights of Rhodes and lunched him through the ropes! Regal decides to distract the official, as Taylor lays in the boots to Rhodes. It's Taylor who throws Rhodes back into the ring as Michael Buffer announcers that there are five minutes remaining in this Television Title Contest!

Regal locks in a surfboard on Dustin Rhodes, and the big man refuses to quit, shaking his head viciously at the official. Buffer announcers there are three minutes left in the contest, and Regal releases Rhodes from the hold, sensing something must be done differently to pick up the win. Regal waits or Rhodes to get up to one knee, he locked his arms around him to go for THE REGAL PLEX, but Rhodes fought it off with an elbow to the gut! TWO Minutes remain, as now Rhodes is hitting chops, backing Regal into the corner. Rhodes is setting up Regal for The Bulldog but as Rhodes tries to run with Regal, Taylor grabs onto the feet of the challenger, holding him in place. 90 SECONDS remain! Ventura point out Rhodes should just ride out these 90 seconds!

Rhodes now shouts at Taylor, pointing his finger in his direction. He turns around to Regal who takes a wild swing! Rhodes ducks an nails an atomic drop on the challenger! ONE MINUTE REMAINING! Now Dave Taylor is on the apron! The official jogs over to Taylor but Taylor swiftly tosses BRASS KNUCKLES into the ring! They're caught by THE NATURAL! 30 SECONDS! Rhodes puts the Brass Knuckles on, moves the official aside AND NAILS Dave Taylor right in the face! FIFTEEN SECONDS! As Taylor falls to the ground....Regal sneaks up behind RHODES! HE ROLLS HIM UP! THE OFFICIAL GETS INTO POSITION! ONE! TWO! THREE!

After the match: Lord Steven Regal drops to his knees as the official grabs the title. Rhodes is shouting at the official about the interference from the Taylor! The referee explains to Rhodes that it was Dustin who attacked Taylor, Taylor was just standing on the apron! Rhoes shows him the brass knuckles , and the official says " Then you should have been disqualified!" The referee walks off not wanting to hear anymore, and Rhodes follows him up the ramp shaking his head. Lord Steven Regal has the title wrapped around his waist, as the fan's boo the NEW WCW Television Champion! Dave Taylor is now up and in the ring, still woozy from the shot he took from Dustin. Taylor stands back and applauds like a gentlemen as Lord Steven Regal holds up two fingers to the crowd!

Eric Bischoff: What a shame!

Jesse Ventura: What a shame? That man earned it! He earned every bit of it! Lord Steven Regal is your new WCW Television Champion! Rightfully so, Bischoff! Like it..or not!

Eric Bischoff: Without it's fair share of controversy, The WCW Television Title has indeed changed hands fans. That marks our first title change in the history of World Championship Wrestling. And Speaking of titles changing hands, Bob Backlund is still walking around with The UWF Heavyweight Championship, and I believe Ray Rougeau is standing by with Bob now....off to you Ray!

Bob Backlund, who had had some unexpected fan support in his come back run at 41 years old, is sitting with Ray Rougeau, doing squats, preparing for his big match with Scott Hall. Ray asks Bob about his number one contenders match coming up, and stealing The UWF Title from Hall. Backlund just glances at Ray, in confusion. Backlund assures Ray that this is the title belt he has been holding since the early 80's. Backlund says tonight is just another title defense, and Hall is a big, strong guy, but he has faced bigger and stronger. Ray tries to interject but Backlund doesn't allow it. "Never interrupt a champion, Ray, you should know that." There is a small "Backlund" chant inside the arena that is picking up steam. Ventura mentions everyone in Gainesville being insane. Backlund goes on to say that after he defeats Scott Hall here tonight, he looks forward to going on to Super Brawl, to defend his World Title against, "his hand picked opponent" Ravishing Rick Rude. Again, Rougeau tries to interrupt and tell Backlund that Rude IS already The World Champion, but Backlund cuts him off. He says he knows Rude may not have proven himself to the fans just yet, but Backlund thinks he is deserving of a title shot. Backlund stops his squats, opens up his blue robe to reveal The UWF Heavyweight Championship, and starts his jog to the ring. Ray shakes his head, and sends it back to the booth where Eric Bischoff laughs, and Ventura says " Oh this is funny to you? Backlund a theif!"

Scheduled For One Fall: Number One Contender's Match!

Bob Backlund vs Scott Hall

The support, the normally uncharismatic Bob Backlund has received from THe WCW faithful has been very entertaining to say the least. Backlund made his way to the ring with The UWF Heavyweight Title, and treated it like it was a buried treasure from centuries ago. Hall came out with his hair as greased up as possible, gold dripping from his neck, and looking cockier then ever. Bischoff ask the question why would Hall even want more gold, he's got enough around his neck! Ventura chirped back, " It's about being the best, Bischoff! Something you would NEVER understand!"

As soon as the bell rings, Hall goes right for Backlund, but Backlund drops down to one knee to avoid several big swipes from Hall as the crowd cheers! Hall finally smartens up and catches Backlund with a big right hand to put him on his keester! Hall continues to go to work now that he has Backlund grounded, pounding away with kicks on the former World Champion. Hall reveals a toothpick hidden behind his ear, chucking it at the fallen opponent.

The crowd boo's Hall's cocky antics. Bischoff says its a sign of The WCW faithful remaining loyal to WCW Stars, as Scott Hall represents The new influx of WCW stars from The UWF. Ventura shuts that down by saying The Hart Foundation is from The UWF, and these idiots cheer them every chance they get! Hall continues to smack around Backlund, and now starts to focus on power wrestling , instead of just punches and insulting smacks. Hall used his size advantage in this match to throw Backlund literally from turnbuckle to turnbuckle. Backlund was huffing and breathing heavy, and he is a man with impeccable cardiovascular conditioning.

Backlund looked for an opening, but didn't get much of anything to work with, until he was whipped into the corner. Which is when Hall came charging in at his senior. Backlund lifted his foot up just in time to catch Hall right in the face. It didn't knock Hall down, but Backlund got up to the second rope and leaped with a flying clothesline! Sending Hall down to the canvas! What a story it would be for this 41 year old former Champion to warn himself a shot at the most prestigious title in professional wrestling!

Bob Backlund went for a pin only to get a two count, as Hall shook off the cobwebs. Backlund tried to stay on the offensive, but again, was over powered by the former UWF Heavyweight Champion. Hall set up Backlund on the top rope, executing a side suplex from the turnbuckle.

Hall crossed his arms and signaled for the end of is challenger, when all of a sudden, The Heavenly Bodies made their way to ringside. We could only wonder what Jim Cornette's favorite tag team was up to. As Hall set up a helpless Bob Backlund for the "Razor's Edge". Jesse explains Hall was given the nick name Razor in the ring, because he always looks so sharp. As Hall sets him up, Jimmy Del Rey jumps on the apron! The official walks over to Del Rey, and Del Rey grabs a hold of his shirt. Dr. Tom Pritchard grabs The UWF Heavyweight Title and slides into the ring, and before Hall can drop Backlund, he is smashed in the face with the title! Hall drops to the canvas, limp, as Pritchard places Backlund on top of Hall! The official turns around to make the three count!

The Heavenly Bodies wander off to the back smiling as the fans erupt! Michael Buffer announcers the winner as Bob Backlund, and Bob starts to get his witts about him and isn't sure what just happened! Backlund see's the title on the mat, picks up as the fans chant "CHAMP-I-ON" at Backlund! Backlund holds The UWF Heavyweight Title up in the air leaping several times, before leaving the ring. Hall starts to come to, holding his head, and he look to be irate!

After The Match: Hall is livid, and as he angrily stomps his way to the locker room, but standing in the aisle is Ray Rougeau, begging for a word. Hall says he doesn't know what the hell Pritchard and Del Rey were doing, but he promises " They gonna' pay for this, chico" The crowd actually cheers Hall as he stares dangerously into the camera. Ventura and Bischoff talk about what just went down. Ventura says Camp Cornette must have had a pow wow and decided that Backlund was the more deserving opponent! Bischoff laughs and says "You mean they thought Backlund, was easier!?" Ventura scoffs at that notion. Whatever the case may be, Bob Backlund has found himself as the NEW Number One Contender to The WCW Heavyweight Championsip!

Camp Cornette Locker Room: We are "welcomed" into the locker room of Camp Cornette. Cornette is his usual high strung self, but extremely confident. Cornette says their grasp on professional wrestling has never been tighter. Cornette explains the two greatest things for a professional wrestler to be is WCW Heavyweight Champion, and the man that finally ends Hulkamania! Cornette runs down the list of guys who have tried, Piper, Bundy, Andre, DiBiase, Randy Savage, and more! None of them have succedded , but the three part plan of eliminating Hulk Hogan enters phase 2, tonight! Vader and Rude will destroy The Mega Maniacs, and at Super Brawl, Hulkamania gets the final nail in the coffin! Cornette says with Backlunds victory, and then winks at the camera, Rude might as well have Super Brawl off! As Vader paces back and forth, anticipation growing by the second, Rude steps into focus with The WCW Heavyweight Championship. Rude first mocks his next "Challenger" LAUGHING at the 41 year old Bob Backlund. Then Rude moves on to discuss Hogan and Beefcake. Rude mentions not even seeing them in the building yet, and wouldn't be surprised if they didn't show up. Vader is just heard shouting and slamming object in the background at this point as Cornette rubs his hands together and says " Phase Two , start tonight, Hogan!"

WCW World Tag TeamChampionship Match

The Hart Foundation vs The Hart Brothers

The time has now come for what many feel is going to be the match of the night. Jesse Ventura says he can't wait for Bret Hart to get what's coming to him, and Neidhart along in the process. As the introductions have come to a close, all four men are standing in the middle of the ring. Anvil staring down Keith Hart, Bret and Bruce jawing at each other. The official holds up the WCW Tag Team Titles as the stare down continues. Bret wants to start the match off with Bruce, but Bruce lets Keith start it off. Keith offers his hand to Bret, saying " for old times sake", and Bret falls for it, and gets a kick to the midsection for his trust.

Keith's tricks allow him to gain the upper hand. Pounding away on The Hitman for the earl going. Keith trades in his normal technical skills for a more of a brawling approach. Showing how personal this has become. Keith decides its time to tag in Bruce, and the crowd pelts him with boo's. Bruce takes his time stalking Bret, with a smile on his face. He picks up Bret and shouts at him " I've been waiting my whole li..." before Bruce can finish, Bret nails him with a right hand that sends him flying into the corner. Bret charges in on Bruce, wailing on him with right hands. The next few moments of the match are Bret in complete control of Bruce. Bruce's only line of defense was making a desperation tag back to Keith, to which Bret responds by tagging in The big guy!

Jim is able to continue The Hart Foundations dominance in this contest. Using his power to counter Keith's takedowns. However, slip up, when big Jim went for a spinebuster, Keith was able to stop short and catch Jim offgaurd with an upper cut. Bruce couldn't contain is excitement, as the momentum started to turn. Bret even wore a nervous look on his face as he watched Keith apply a boston crab to the man. Bret tried to get in to help out but the official wouldn't allow it.This allowed Bruce to sneak in for an elbow to the back of Anvils head. Jim was eventually able to power himself to the ropes to break the hold.

The Hart Brothers now worked in several double teams, as the crowd grew anxious. Usually Anvil is able to fend off these times of combinations. Ventura compliments The Hart Brothers for cutting the ring in half, saying they clearly got the brains in the family, but he isn't quite sure which Hart parent has that trait. Bruce is the legal man, and he taunts Bret as he locks in a figure four in the middle of the ring. David Sammartino and Joe Malenko start to make their way to the ring, Ventura suggest to celebrate the inevitable.

Before Sammartino and Malenko can make it to the ring, suddenly, DOUG FURNAS and PHIL LAFON come running down the isle and nail them from behind! At the same time, Jim is able to reverse the figure four, and is now in reach to make the tag! Bret gets into the ring, and cuts Keith off who tries to run interference. Keith goes down and to the outside of the ring. Bruce is still tangled up in the figure four that Jim reversed. Bret personally untangles Jim's legs from Bruce's and Bruce tries to crawl away but Bret pulls him back into the center of the ring! Bret grabs the legs of Bruce and look as if it's Sharpshooter time! Bret steps through and turns Bruce over for the Sharpshooter! Doug Furnas and Phil Lafon keep The Forgotten Sons at bay as Bruce TAPS OUT TO THE SHARPSHOOTER!

After The Match: The Hart Foundation is celebrating in the ring, as Furnas and Lafon climb in. The Forgotten Sons are collecting themselves on the outside and heading up the isle. Furnas and Lafon shake the hands of The Hart Foundation and congratulate them. Bret thanks them for keeping The Forgotten Sons at bay. Furnas asks to be kept in mind when it comes to a title defense. Bret winks, and pats him on the back. Furnas and Lafon leave the ring as The Hart Foundation continues the celebration and we are taken backstage to......THE MEGA MANIACS!

Hulk Hogan is breathing heavily, arms pumped, tricep flexed. Ray Rougeau thanks The Mega Maniacs for joining him. Hulk Hogan says he appreciates the thanks but now is not the time to be nice. In fact it's time to get a little bit nasty! Hogan say's he still stands for saying your prayers, taking your vitamins, and doing what's right. But he can't stand for the bully tactic of Big Van Vader and Camp Cornette. Hogan says as much as they want to get rid of Hulkamania, it will indeed LIVE forever. Long after The Hulkster is gone, Hulkamania will run through the blood of everyone who ever cheered on The Hulkster! Hogan makes a declaration tonight, he says he has a 3 step plan of his on. Phase one ,is tonight, and it's softening up Big Van Vader! Phase 2 will be Super BRAWL, and that will be eliminating Vader inside a steel cage! Then phase three....before revealing phase three, Hogan laughs, and says He'll be going for that WCW World Championship, BROTHER! The crowd erupts! Beefcake claps his hands together and says he'll be glad to soften up Rick Rude tonight for The Hulkster! Hogan smiles and says " Camp Cornette, watcha' gon' do...when Hulk Hogan, Brutus Beecake and all of HULKAMANIA run wild onnnn youuuuuu!' Hogan flexes off the camera as we head to Michael Buffer for the main event introductions!

Scheduled For One Fall: Main Event Stipulation at Super Brawl!

The Mega Manics vs Camp Cornette

It's finally here, the WCW in ring debut of Hulk Hogan. However, fans would have to wait just a little bit longer as Brutus Beefcake started off the match against WCW World Champion, Rick Rude. The fans enjoyed Beefcake, but a massive " We Want Hogan" chant was all that could be heard! WCW Champion, looks better then ever, proving why he is the champion. The feud between Vader-Hogan has taken up a lot of tv time as of late, but that shouldn't take away from Rick Rude being perhaps the greatest wrestler in the world today. Rude proves it in the early going, pounding away at Brutus Beefcake, until making the tag to Vader.

It didn't get any better for Beefcake, as Vader pulverized The Barber. Cornette enjoying every second of it from the outside. Beefcake was trying to fight back with half hearted punches to the gut of Vader, but Vader just smiled at those punches. Vader pointed at the Hulkster as the fans cheered. Vader threw Beefcake into the corner, where Hogan made the tag!

Hogan struck first with a right hand that staggered Big Van Vader! Rocking him back, Hogan followed it up with more right hands. The crowd roaring with each connecting blow! Vader staggering but not falling. Hogan takes another swing but this time Vader blocks it! Vader connects with a blow to Hogan , and both men trade punches , until each man hits the ropes, connecting with a double clothesline! Both men go down.

Cornette looks nervous, and shouts at Rude to get into the ring!

The fans got a small taste of Hogan-Vader but as the match waged on, it was all they would get. However, they would see a possible potential World Title Feud as Hulk Hogan an Rick Rude collided. Rude made the mistake of trying to over power Hogan! Hulk would have no part of it! Hogan showed no signs of ring rust as he worked over Ravishing Rick Rude. Hogan even nailed Rude with the big boot! Vader was trying to get into the ring, but couldn't reach for a tag! Beefcake begged to get back into the match and Hogan obliged.

Beefcake came into he ring to try and "finish" off the champion, but instead Rude was able to counter by moving out of the way of a missed leg drop from Beefcake! Rude got to his feet and Vader got into the ring. Vader charged across the ring, knocking Hogan off the apron! Vader followed Hogan to the outside as the two men began to battle around the ring! Cornette even nailed Hogan with a racquet to help Vader gain the advantage....while in the ring.....

Ravishing Rick Rude nailed Beefcake with The Rude Awakening! However the official is on te outside trying to get control of Vader and Hogan! Rude is shouting through the ropes at the official when suddenly.....a man enters the ring from the crowd! The man slithers under the bottom rope and into the ring, he spins Rude around and....

JAKE ROBERTS connects with a DDT on Rick Rude! Laying him out in the middle of the ring. Rude drags the arm of Beefcake over Rude, and slides out of the ring, up the ramp with a sadistic smile on his face. The official gets back into the ring and makes the three count! The bell sounds, and Jim Cornette has his hands over his head in disbelief as Vader and Hogan are no being broken up by security! Michael Buffer announces the winners : The Mega Maniacs! Vader starts throwing officials into the guardrail and ring steps! Hulk Hogan slides back into the ring to pick up his partner! Vader reaches into the ring and yanks Rude out of the ring!

Hogan and Beefcake celebrate in the ring. As Eric Bischoff gleefully announces that Super Brawl will indeed feature Vader and Hulk Hogan inside of a steel cage! Jake Roberts has already disappeared from the TV cameras and Rude is leaning on Cornette and Vader as Vader shouts at the posing Hogan " You're lucky punk!" Hogan continues to celebrate win as WCW Clash of The Champions goes off the air!
