Former New York Knicks player Charles Oakely was escorting out of Madison Square Garden after shoving a security guard on Wednesday night.

According to Sports Illustrated, Oakley was yelling at Knicks owner James Dolan when the incident occurred.

“Charles Oakley came to the game tonight and behaved in a highly inappropriate and completely abusive manner,” the Knicks said in a statement. “He has been ejected and is currently being arrested by the New York City Police Department. He was a great Knick and we hope he gets some help soon.”

Oakley was asked to leave after repeatedly yelling at Dolan during the game’s first quarter, according to a series of tweets by New York Daily News reporter Frank Isola. He was reportedly escorted out and handcuffed when he refused to calm down.

Sports reporter Mike Vorkunov wrote on Twitter that Oakley could be heard yelling “”I didn’t do nothing! Dolan did this…This is bullshit*t.”

Oakley, whose professional basketball career spanned 1985-2004, played for the Knicks from 1988 to 1998.
