As first reported by EW.com, Gilligan, whose post-”Breaking” gigs include the upcoming CBS drama “Battle Creek” and the “Breaking Bad” spinoff “Better Call Saul,” will play a silver-tongued gold digger who worsens the tension between Annie Edison (Alison Brie) and Abed Nadir (Danny Pudi).

The episode is expected to air in late winter or early spring.

Gilligan’s “Community” stint will constitute a “Breaking Bad” reunion of sorts; Jonathan Banks, who played meth-ring enforcer Mike Ehrmantraut, has booked a recurring role on the series as Pat Nichols, a criminology professor whose background is in the military and police work.

In other “Community” guest-casting news, “Arrested Development” creator Mitch Hurwitz has been booked to play Greendale party animal Preston Koogler, while Adult Swim stars Tim Heidecker and Eric Wareheim have also been booked to guest-star.
