Expect 40 percent fewer C-words out of Adam Carolla.

The so-called “Podfather” will be going clean on his “Adam Carolla Show” twice a week. On Wednesdays and Fridays, the show will have “cleaned-up” verbiage, in Carolla’s words.

The change-up is an attempt to attract a better breed of advertiser, Carolla explained on Wednesday’s show: “How do we get Ford, GM, how do we get Sony, how do we get to the next level?”

After all, there are plenty of costs to pay out, including production expenses and staffing. The live shows, however, will remain “as filthy as ever,” the podcast king clarified.

“The problem is content — I’m here swearing a blue streak,” Carolla said of companies like Cadillac’s hesitation to hop aboard his “pirate ship.”

Carolla believes his competitors have been cutting audio from profane rants and sending it off to potential advertisers — a scare tactic of sorts.

To them, he quipped: “Fudge you.” It was a Wednesday show, after all.

“I don’t look at it as censorship — censorship to me is ideas,” Carolla summed up his new policy.

The ex-“Love Line” host has many years of terrestrial radio under his belt, so the switch shouldn’t be difficult.

“There’s gonna be a certain amount of haters — I get it,” he concluded. “The bottom line is we need fuel for this pirate ship … and I think this is a way to do it that’s a happy compromise.”

On Tuesday, PodcastOne unveiled a subscription model, which will include “premium content” from “The Adam Carolla Show” and other popular podcasts for $7.99 a month or $59.99 for the year. “ACS” will remain free on a day-and-date basis for up to 30 days of recent shows. The older archive — which has been behind a paywall for a while — now moves under PodcastOne Premium’s auspices.

PodcastOne Premium also houses shows from Shaquille O’Neal, Steve Austin, Heather Dubrow, Brandi Glanville, Nicole “Snooki” Polizzi, Larry King, Dan Patrick, Rich Eisen, Jay Mohr, Dr. Drew and Penn Jillette.
