West Division: The OHL Academic Player of the Month for November in the West Division is Sam Studnicka
of the Windsor Spitfires.  Sam currently attends St. Anne High School
where he is taking Grade 12 English, Physics, and Biology.  Sam
maintains an A average in all of his subjects and is considered a class
leader and student mentor.  He is well liked by his teachers and peers

17-year-old from Tecumseh, ON, also scored his first career OHL goal
this past month on November 17 against the Barrie Colts.

the Owen Sound Attack.  Bigras, a 17-year-old native of Elmvale, ON,
was a second round selection in 2011 and is a very hardworking
individual who maintains an A+ average at school.  His teachers describe
him as personable, likeable, responsible and dedicated.  He balances
the demands of school and hockey with ease and is a role model for all
students, not just those who play in the OHL.  Ranked tenth among OHL
skaters by NHL Central Scouting for the 2013 NHL Draft, Bigras also won
this award as a rookie last October.

a 16-year-old native of Oakville, ON, was the Steelheads’ first round
selection in the 2012 Priority Selection after winning an OHL Cup
Championship with the Mississauga Rebels.  He attends
Philip Pocock Secondary where he is described as an excellent student
with a great attitude who is fast tracking Grade 12 courses while so
heavily involved in hockey.

East Division: The OHL Academic Player of the Month for November in the East Division is Stephen Pierog
of the Peterborough Petes.  Stephen, an 18-year-old native of Guelph,
ON, has had a solid start to the 2012-13 year both on and off the ice.
He is obtaining a solid B average and is successfully juggling his
