I have several websites in a variety of industries these days. Depending on my workload, the season and what’s going on in my personal life, it can be difficult at times to make sure every site is being updated on a regular basis. My recent attempts to find a reliable, ongoing writer have been futile – to say the least. Therefore I am always on the lookout for places to buy quality articles at a moment’s notice.
I was recently introduced to Constant Content and have been using the site on a regular basis for awhile now. Here is a full review on what I’m loving, and what I’m not, at the moment.
What I Love About Constant Content
Shop Existing Articles with a Preview – As mentioned previously, I often need content NOW. Rather than going through an ordering process I can hit the article database and see what is available. I’m not only going to see titles and a short description at Constant Content, I get to see a good portion of the actual article. I can see if the writing style and expectations match my own.
Content is Edited - You don’t have to worry about poor grammar and unintelligible gibberish. Everything is screened and edited prior to being sold. This of course means you can expect to pay between $30 and $100 per article, but you get what you pay for.
Buy Usage, Unique or Full Rights – There are several options available when purchasing content. You can purchase Usage Rights, meaning the article will be sold to multiple buyers, Unique Rights, meaning the article must stay unaltered though it will never be sold again, or Full Rights which gives you the rights to alter the content as you see fit and no other copies will be sold. Usage Rights is the least expensive, Full Rights most expensive.
Favorite Writer – If I find myself ordering from a select few writers time after time, I can Favorite these writers. I will then receive notifications when they add new content to the database.
Build a Content Team – You also have the option to establish a team for ongoing projects. If you need one blog post per week on a specific topic, you can create a Project, invite your favorite writers and even have the post published to your site automatically.
WordPress Plugin – This nifty plugin will allow you to publish or schedule purchased content from within your Constant Content dashboard.
Improvements I’d Like to See
Ability to Set Up Several Wishlists – While you can wishlist articles to purchase at a later date, I would like the ability to create separate wishlists for individual websites or projects.
Quicker Order Processing Time – As a buyer, you have to wait for your payment to be approved – even if it is PayPal. I’m used to having immediate access to materials after paying, so that can be a pain. Especially that I’m usually shopping for content outside of regular business hours. Not a deal breaker, just a delay in publishing by a few hours.
Ability to Hide Articles – I would also like the ability to remove articles I have already decided are not a good fit from my database. This would be a huge timesaver.
Overall I have been very happy with my experience and the articles I have purchased from Constant Content. It is definitely a site I will continue to use.
Have you used Constant Content to buy articles for your websites? What did you think?
