If only the phrase “Two for the price of one!” applied to multiples. Unfortunately, that’s not exactly true. You can definitely get by with sharing many things, but some things you will need doubles. All of those wonderful baby registry guides for single babies also don’t always apply to multiples.

When I was pregnant with my twins, I scoured the internet for twin registry guides. This is a compilation of what I found, in addition to changes that I made after the first few months.

Twins Baby Registry Guide

Note: You may want more bottles, diaper changing kits, toys, etc, but you won’t really know what kinds you (and the babies) will like until they are here. This guide will help you get started.

Car Seats:

Infant car seat: 2 Maxi Cosi Mico AP
Optional: additional car seat bases
Convertible car seat:  2 Maxi Cosi Pria 70

*Note: With two babies at once, you will want the lightest weight carseat available. It is important to have a lightweight seat that can easily be moved around or snapped in, especially as your babies get bigger. Simplicity is the key, and you can get much simpler (or safer) than the Mico AP. We only registered for two infant car seats, but as our babies got bigger, we left the seats in the car and took the babies out. While this is what worked for us, you may choose a different route.
