For more than 15 years now, Bantay Bata 163 has come to the aid of countless children by providing rescue missions, medical and legal assistance, scholarships, feeding programs, parenting seminars and caravans promoting child welfare and protection, backed by support and donations coming from individuals from all walks of life.

Now, Bantay Bata 163, in partnership with Globe Telecom through its subsidiary G-Xchange, Inc. (GXI), has created a more convenient opportunity for kind souls to help in its cause.

"By donating to Bantay Bata through GCASH, more people can reach out and help the needy children. GCASH subscribers can donate any amount, even as low as 1 peso, and it will definitely go a long way. No need to go to a bank to deposit the donations," said Paolo Baltao, President of GXI.

GCASH subscribers can use the GCASH Android and BlackBerry Mobile App or dial *143# for FREE (and select GCASH) on their phones to donate to Bantay Bata. Fund the GCASH wallet via online bank transfers (www.globe.com.ph/gcash), mobile banking with BPI (by dialing *119#) and Unionbank, BancNet ATMs or through any of the more than 7,000 GCASH outlets nationwide.

As a way of saying thank you to its donors, Bantay Bata 163 is giving away 12 Samsung Galaxy Note 2's. From April 26 to June 26, every donation of at least P10 via GCASH earns 1 electronic entry for the special raffle draw on June 28.

Since its establishment in 1997, Bantay Bata has received over 300,000 calls, done over 1,700 rescue missions, over 40,000 medical cases addressed, and over 1,600 legal cases handled. Over 51,000 children benefitted from Bantay Bata's feeding program and a total of 3,355 became Bantay Edukasyon scholars.
