‘What is Gemara? Is that the Written WORD OF GOD?’

We Jews believe that the Gemara is a part of our oral Law also given on Sinai near the written Law of Moshe Rabbeinu, spoken/declared between the Cherubim, the First five books of the Scriptures the Tanach. So we have the Mishna first ‘compelled’, around two thousand years back written down after long time orally tradition, near the Torah of Moshe Rabbeinu all the Words HaShem spoke from between the Cherubim:

Exo 25:22 “And I shall meet with you there, and from above the lid of atonement, from between the two keruḇim which are on the ark of the Witness, I shall speak to you all that which I command you concerning the children of Yisra’ĕl.

Deu 31:9-11 And Mosheh wrote this Torah (The first five books of our Scriptures, the written Torah ‘around’ the 10 Commandments written by the ‘finger’ of HaShem on two stone tablets) and gave it to the priests, the sons of Lĕwi, who bore the ark of the covenant of יהוה, and to all the elders of Yisra’ĕl.

10 And Mosheh commanded them, saying, “At the end of seven years, at the appointed time, the year of release, at the Festival of Booths,

11 when all Yisra’ĕl comes to appear before יהוה your Elohim in the place which He chooses, read this Torah before all Yisra’ĕl in their hearing……

Later we ‘compelled’ the Mishna around the Torah of Moshe Rabbeinu. The Gemara what is written ‘around’ the Mishna a little came later. And with a lot of Midrashim (‘teaching stories’) around the Law of Moshe. What we all together call the Talmud……. Our Shulchan Aruch is based on the Talmud……

A quote from the book ‘Judaic Logic: A Formal Analysis of Biblical, Talmudic and Rabbinic Logic’ by Avi Sion (Ph.D. Philosophy, author http://www.thelogician.net/):

‘The Gemara uses special words to quote from the various authoritative documents or oral sources. Thus, the expressions matninan, tenan, among others, will refer to Mishnaic sources; matnina, tenu rabanan, tanya, etc, etc. to Baraitot; and for instance tena, to Tosefta. A passage quoted is bound to be directly or indirectly relevant to the presentation or discussion at hand, the purpose of such quotation being, for instances, to illustrate or explain, support or undermine, qualify or amplify. After quoting a passage a propos of some other topic, the Gemara may later return to it and discuss it further for its own sake.

A memra is a “reported teaching, opinion or decision of the Amoraim”, i.e. reported by an Amora in the name of another Amora (that is, Gemara sage). The report may, according to the expression used, concern a single, undisputed statement (amar R. Ploni [‘R. Ploni’ – refers to any given Rabbi, as we would say ‘Mr. so and so. Amar means ‘said’; itamar, ‘it was said’), or a single, contested statement, without its counter-thesis (R. Ploni amar), or a controversy between two or more Amoraim (Itamar R. x amar…. R. y amar…. ). The name of the reporter may be given, and it may be clear whether the report is direct (firsthand, oral transmission) or indirect (hearsay, via an intermediary).

A single memra may be received in the Gemara in a variety of ways. A memra may seem superfluous, because already found explicitly in a Mishnah: but in such event, the memra usually brings some additional new point. If the memra is only implicit in a Mishnah, the ‘duplication’ is not an objection to the memra, since it performs a useful function and is corroborated by the Mishnah. If a memra is found to be corroborated by a Baraita, one need not wonder ad its superfluity, because an Amora is expected to know every Mishnah, but not every Baraita. A memra may seem to be in conflict with a Mishnah or Baraita, in which event the former may be rejected, unless the said conflict is shown to be merely apparent. A memra may be brought in to confirm another memra (e.g. a Babylonian supported by a Palestinian). If two Amoraim report opposite memras regarding the same topic, the original authors of the conflicting positions will be assumed two/different persons. A memra’s authencity may be put in doubt by some other participant, on the basis that its alleged author expressed different opinions elsewhere; since both the reporter and the objector are Amoraim, their status is in principle equal, and some reconciliation must be sought (though in some cases one side may win). A memra may at first be strongly objected to, then finally admitted by the Gemara in rectified form to allow for the objections.

A multiple memra, reporting conflicting opinions, may be variously dealt with in Gemara. The source of the conflict may be that a Mishnah expression was interpreted in different ways or that the reason for a ruling was understand in different ways. Or the dispute may reflect a doubt regarding the final decision in a case; or about some legal principle not clearly stated, or concerning some subsidiary case not considered by the Mishnah. The Gemara will look for and consider the different practical consequences of each position, identifying points of agreement and eliminating them from the discussion. The Gamara may then arbitrate (supporting one side, rejecting the other) with reference to a Mishnah or Baraita, or find therein support for both (or neither?), or subject the arguments pro and con to evaluation by common-sense, or find reason to admit both sides (no deep dispute being apparent, only a different case or circumstance of application), or even remain undecided. Sometimes, the wording of the memra leaves unclear which of the conflicting Amoraim held which of the two opinions: in such situations, and other doubtful situations, the Gemara may look at previous pronouncements of Amoraim in question, to determine their previous lines of thought. Sometimes, the divergence between Amoraim may be rooted in a similar divergence between Tanaim.”

The Logos.

“The Word,” in the sense of the creative or directive word or speech of God manifesting His power in the world of matter or mind; a term used especially in the Targum as a substitute for “the Lord” when an anthropomorphic expression is to be avoided.

—Biblical Data:

In Scripture “the word of the Lord” commonly denotes the speech addressed to patriarch or prophet (Gen. xv. 1; Num. xii. 6, xxiii. 5; I Sam. iii. 21; Amos v. 1-8); but frequently it denotes also the creative word: “By the word of the Lord were the heavens made” (Ps. xxxiii. 6; comp. “For He spake, and it was done”; “He sendeth his word, and melteth them [the ice]”; “Fire and hail; snow, and vapors; stormy wind fulfilling his word”; Ps. xxxiii. 9, cxlvii. 18, cxlviii. 8). In this sense it is said, “For ever, O Lord, thy word is settled in heaven” (Ps. cxix. 89). “The Word,” heard and announced by the prophet, often became, in the conception of the seer, an efficacious power apart from God, as was the angel or messenger of God: “The Lord sent a word into Jacob, and it hath lighted upon Israel” (Isa. ix. 7 [A. Personification of the Word. —In Apocryphal and Rabbinical Literature:

While in the Book of Jubilees, xii. 22, the word of God is sent through the angel to Abraham, in other cases it becomes more and more a personified agency: “By the word of God exist His works” (Ecclus. [Sirach] xlii. 15); “The Holy One, blessed be He, created the world by the ‘Ma’amar'” (Mek., Beshallaḥ, 10, with reference to Ps. xxxiii. 6). Quite frequent is the expression, especially in the liturgy, “Thou who hast made the universe with Thy word and ordained man through Thy wisdom to rule over the creatures made by Thee” (Wisdom ix. 1; comp. “Who by Thy words causest the evenings to bring darkness, who openest the gates of the sky by Thy wisdom”; . . . “who by His speech created the heavens, and by the breath of His mouth all their hosts”; through whose “words all things were created”; see Singer’s “Daily Prayer-Book,” pp. 96, 290, 292). So also in IV Esdras vi. 38 (“Lord, Thou spakest on the first day of Creation: ‘Let there be heaven and earth,’ and Thy word hath accomplished the work”). “Thy word, O Lord, healeth all things” (Wisdom xvi. 12); “Thy word preserveth them that put their trust in Thee” (l.c. xvi. 26). Especially strong is the personification of the word in Wisdom xviii. 15: “Thine Almighty Word leaped down from heaven out of Thy royal throne as a fierce man of war.” The Mishnah, with reference to the ten passages in Genesis (ch. i.) beginning with “And God said,” speaks of the ten “ma’amarot” (= “speeches”) by which the world was created (Abot v. 1; comp. Gen. R. iv. 2: “The upper heavens are held in suspense by the creative Ma’amar”). Out of every speech [“dibbur”] which emanated from God an angel was created (Ḥag. 14a). “The Word [“dibbur”] called none but Moses” (Lev. R. i. 4, 5). “The Word [“dibbur”] went forth from the right hand of God and made a circuit around the camp of Israel” (Cant. R. i. 13).

In the Targum the Memra figures constantly as the manifestation of the divine power, or as God’s messenger in place of God Himself, wherever the predicate is not in conformity with the dignity or the spirituality of the Deity.”

Devarim 30:10 if you obey the voice of יהוה your Elohim (Messiah Ben Yoseph, the Divinely Authorized Teacher of the Torah of HaShem for Ephraim!), to guard His commands and His laws which are written in this Book of the Torah, if you turn back to יהוה your Elohim with all your heart and with all your being.

This means HaShem went with Ephraim a different way than with Yehudah. But, as the rabbis are teaching: Ephraim (a different nation, the Lost Northern Kingdom of Israel) comes back with Messiah Ben Yoseph as their divine ordained leader. And Yehudah comes back with ‘their Judicial Authority (Mechoqeck*) of HaShem: ‘The Rabbinical leadership, the Divinely Authorized Teacher of the Torah of HaShem for Yehudah.’

Please try to understand when a ‘Lost-Jew’ try to become a member of Beit Ya’aqov International. What only is possible when our fellow Jews reject him/her a conversion process.

Like He spoke/declared to Moshe Rabbeinu but in ‘another form’ ‘temûnâh’, so HaShem ‘spoke’ ‘declared’ in the ‘flesh’…….:

Deu 30:6-7 “And יהוה your Elohim shall circumcise your heart and the heart of your seed, to love יהוה your Elohim with all your heart and with all your being, so that you might live,

7 and יהוה your Elohim shall put all these curses on your enemies and on those who hate you, who persecuted you.

The message of the HaBerith HaChadasha Scriptures:’ יהוה your Elohim shall circumcise your heart and the heart of your seed, to love יהוה your Elohim with all your heart and with all your being, so that you might live……..’ The Torah of Messiah!

NOT a new religion, doctrine or whatever ‘poison’ were our Christian fore parents came up with!

Num 12:7-8 “Not so with My servant Mosheh, he is trustworthy in all My house.

8 “I speak with him mouth to mouth, and plainly, and not in riddles. And he sees the “form” (temûnâh) of יהוה.

The Word (Messiah), that became flesh, also spoke/declared:

Exo 20:1-7 And Elohim spoke all these Words, saying,

2 “I am יהוה your Elohim, who brought you out of the land of Mitsrayim, out of the house of slavery.

3 “You have no other mighty ones against My face.

Moshe Rabbeinu teaches very well, that is why HaShem said ‘he is trustworthy in all My house’. Yes, he didn’t make any thing out of it (for himself?) but he enjoined The Word of HaShem and brought the Word of HaShem to AM ISREAEL.

Because of the ‘sin’ of your fore parents, and many of us are still strong in it!

2Ki 18:11-12 And the sovereign of Ashshur exiled Yisra’ĕl to Ashshur, and placed them in Halah and Haḇor, the River of Gozan, and in the cities of the Medes,

12 because they did not obey the voice of יהוה their Elohim (Messiah), but transgressed His covenant – all that Mosheh the servant of יהוה had commanded. And they did not obey nor do them.

So, Beit Ya’aqov International forbid, her members, any teaching preaching a ‘doctrine’ based on the HaBerith HaChadasha Scriptures to the Jewish people.

But we, Beit Ya’aqov International, like to encourage you to study the HaBerit HaChadasha Scriptures very good by Listening to the Voice of Yahweh Elohim (Messiah, by putting away completely the sin of our fore parents: ‘The Replacement of the Word in the flesh [Messiah!] with a ‘mighty one’!), until we hear HaShems Voice, Messiah, Shilo, again (Messiah Ben Dawid) from ‘between the Cherubim’…… to bring ALL the Words to AM ISRAEL, all 12 Tribes and their friends – Yehudah and Ephraim – The Lost Sheep From The House of Israel that we need to know for the Great Restoration, the real Redemption………

On the moment we, cannot live together (Yehudah and Ephraim) because also the Jews cannot Listen to the Voice of Yahweh Elohim (Messiah). But you, The Lost Sheep from the House of Israel, have to build your independence around the Jewish State her borders. Otherwise you shall go under in the nations! Because a curse is going over the world from where there is no escape…….!

Zec 5:3 And he said to me, “This is the curse (In Hebrew ‘alla’) that goes forth over the face of all the earth: ‘everyone who is stealing shall go unpunished,’ on the one side, according to it, and, ‘everyone who has sworn falsely shall go unpunished,’ on the other side, according to it.”

Yes, Ephraim and all your friends the Lost Sheep from the house of Israel you have to unite, in real Teshuva and Love for each other, and build your own independent state for the protection of yourselves and the Jewish Nation from Amalek with his leader ‘alla’.

Around the Jewish State, her borders, what is also Eretz Israel! And has to be liberated!

Let we All come strong together united in:

Let we all approach ‘pharaoh’ (Israeli government and Islam on The Har HaBait) and ask them:

‘Please let us Pray and let us bring His Corbanot in the way HaShem teach us?’ All together in one voice!

Ask and stay on asking (really NOT fighting only asking!) until they give ‘permission’……. Don’t stop asking! That is the:

National Teshuva, ‘the blow of the great Shofar……’

Under the rabbi’s there are ears who like to hear that……

Jer 23:22 “But if they (all Israel) had stood in My counsel (In 1967!), then they would have let My people hear My Words, and they would have turned them from their evil way and from the evil of their deeds………

Yes, Lost Sheep from the House of Israel in 1967 you were not ‘thinking’ on HaShems positive commands but honoring your ‘imaginations’ or ‘mighty ones’!


Deu 12:1-9 “These are the laws and right-rulings which you guard to do in the land which יהוה Elohim of your fathers is giving you to possess, all the days that you live on the soil.

2 “Completely destroy all the places where the nations which you are dispossessing served their mighty ones, on the high mountains and on the hills and under every green tree.

7 “And there you shall eat before יהוה your Elohim, and shall rejoice in all that you put your hand to, you and your households, in which יהוה your Elohim has blessed you.

9 “Because you have not yet entered the rest and the inheritance which יהוה your Elohim is giving you.

2Ch 7:14 and My people upon whom My Name is called, shall humble themselves, and pray and seek My face, and turn from their evil ways, then I shall hear from the heavens, and forgive their sin and heal their land. (Read the whole chapter 7 of Chronicles? We should have it again!)
HaShem never chance His Torah!

The ultimate fulfillment of these positive commands!:

Isa 2:1-3 The word that Yeshayahu the son of Amots saw concerning Yehuḏah and Yerushalayim:

2 And it shall be in the latter days that the mountain of the House of יהוה (The Har HaBait!) is established on the top of the mountains, and shall be exalted above the hills. And all nations shall flow to it.

3 And many peoples shall come and say, “Come, and let us go up to the mountain of יהוה (The Har HaBait!), to the House of the Elohim of Yaʽaqoḇ, and let Him teach1 us His ways1, and let us walk in His paths1, for out of Tsiyon comes forth the Torah1, and the Word1 of יהוה from Yerushalayim.” (Messiah Ben David, HaShem speaking/declaring from between the Cherubim) Footnote: 1His ways, His paths, the teaching and the Word of יהוה are used synonymously.

Isa 56:1-8 Thus said יהוה, “Guard right-ruling, and do righteousness (Messiah Ben Yoseph, the Torah on your hearts Jer 31: 31-37), for near is My deliverance to come, and My righteousness to be revealed.

2 “Blessed is the man who does this, and the son of man who lays hold on it, guarding the Sabbath lest he profane it, and guarding his hand from doing any evil.

3 “And let not the son of the foreigner who has joined himself to יהוה speak, saying, ‘יהוה has certainly separated me from His people,’ nor let the eunuch say, ‘Look I am a dry tree.’ ”

4 For thus said יהוה, “To the eunuchs who guard My Sabbaths, and have chosen what pleases Me, and hold fast to My covenant:

5 to them I shall give in My house and within My walls a place and a name better than that of sons and daughters – I give them an everlasting name that is not cut off.

6 “Also the sons of the foreigner who join themselves to יהוה, to serve Him, and to love the Name of יהוה, to be His servants, all who guard the Sabbath, and not profane it, and hold fast to My covenant –

7 them I shall bring to My set-apart mountain, and let them rejoice in My house of prayer. Their burnt offerings and their slaughtering’s are accepted on My altar, for My house is called a house of prayer for all the peoples.”

8 The Master יהוה, who gathers the outcasts of Yisra’ĕl, declares, “I gather still others to him besides those who are gathered to him.”

Even the head Rabbinate of Israel came up with the statement,

By the entrance to the Hallel Gate……. (Mograbi Gate renamed after the murder of a 13 years old Jewish girl Hallel (by the followers of ‘alla’!) because her parents Love to Pray on the mountain of the House of יהוה………)

While we (Jews) know!

There is a big fascination with finding the lost ark, but nobody asked a Jew. We have known where it is for thousands of years. It could be reached if we excavated Temple Mount, but that area is controlled by Muslims.”’

Still, look to the mercy from HaShem He is healing your Land! Amalek and His Ismaelite friends are losing in Eretz Israel (From the Nile to the Euphrates …..!) But shall go on with their friends, slaughtering and raping in Europe and the United States……. (The curse: ‘alla’)

The new Sanhedrin, where some people desire for existing out of Jewish Rabbi’s and ‘Representatives’ from the ‘70 Nations’ of the world can ONLY function upright when they are under the Counsel from HaShem!

Jer 23:22 “But if they (all Israel) had stood in My counsel (In 1967!), then they would have let My people hear My Words, and they would have turned them from their evil way and from the evil of their deeds………

2000 years back we had a very beautiful Temple and a Sanhedrin but without the Counsel from HaShem! Who made the Temple so beautiful? Rome! And who was (and today still is!) the ‘boss’ in Rome?

At the conclusion of the previous chapter, we learned that with the acceptance of David as king by all the Twelve Tribes, “there was JOY in Israel” (I Chron 12:41).

The new king lost no time in taking advantage of the favorable national climate in order to try to bring the Ark of the Covenant up to Jerusalem from the house of Avinadav in Kiryat Ye’arim, where it had remained since its return by the Philistines following the disasters that struck them after they captured it from the Sanctuary in Shilo in the days of Eli (I Samuel 4:11-7:1).

The taking of the Ark to Jerusalem to dwell in its eternal resting place – the Holy Temple on Mt Moriah – would be the fulfillment of Jacob’s dream as he had slept on that very spot. “…and behold a LADDER (SOOLAM) was established on the earth” (Genesis 28:12) (Please read for a deeper understanding: About ‘The Foundation Stone’ in Jerusalem…….


The SOOLAM alludes to SINAI (the Hebrew letters of the two words have the same Gematria). The Sinaitic Covenant would only be complete when the Torah that Israel received in the wilderness would be brought up to God’s House in Jerusalem (symbolizing the “home” of the Shechinah in the heart of each one of us) – from there to shine out to all the world, “For the Torah shall go forth from Zion and the word of HaShem from Jerusalem” (Isaiah 2:3).

King David showed great humility: “And David CONSULTED with the captains…” (v 3). He asked the people what they thought. He wanted them to be wholeheartedly with him. “And David said to all the assembly of Israel… let us BREAK THROUGH and send to our remaining brothers…” (v 2). David fully knew that he wanted to accomplish nothing less than a BREAKTHROUGH – to reach out to those who were still outside the circle of Mashiach and to involve them too in the holy project of bringing the Ark, symbol of the Torah, to its eternal home. David turned this into a national event that was to be no less significant in its way than Moses’ inauguration of the original Sanctuary in the Wilderness.’

This ‘call’ for a national event/Teshuva for all the Jews from Israel and Ephraim from Israel to rebuilt His Temple is the great Shofar that shall be blown on that day…..

Isa 27:12-13 And in that day it shall be that יהוה threshes, from the channel of the River to the wadi of Mitsrayim. And you shall be gathered one by one1, O children of Yisra’ĕl. Footnote: 1Jer. 3:14-15.

13 And in that day it shall be that a great horn is blown, and those who were perishing in the land of Ashshur and the outcasts in the land of Mitsrayim shall come, and shall worship יהוה on the set-apart mountain, in Yerushalayim.

Rabbi Abraham Ben Ya’aqov on Isaiah 27: 13 ‘”And on that day a great shofar shall be blown…“ (v 13). The “great shofar” alludes to the spirit of prophecy that will come into the world in the final redemption to signal to the lost souls that the time of the in-gathering has arrived. The prophet promises that in the final redemption all of the lost members of Israel will be gathered in from all their places of exile in order to worship God on the Temple Mount.’

Jer 31:9 “With weeping they shall come, and with their prayers I bring them. I shall make them walk by rivers of waters, in a straight way in which they do not stumble. For I shall be a Father to Yisra’ĕl, and Ephrayim – he is My first-born.

That is the great redemption, the Yeshuah (Salvation) from HaShem when HaShem (Messiah Ben David) speaks again from between the Cherubim……..!

May ISRAEL be inscribed and sealed for a good year
