Hannah R. Wireman, 15, of Van Wert, died at 1:07 p.m. Friday, May 30, 2014, at the Van Wert Area Inpatient Hospice Center.

She was born July 7, 1998, in Lima, the daughter of Timothy Wireman II, who survives in Lima, and Rachael Hager, who survives in Van Wert.

Other survivors include two half-sisters, Bethany Wireman and Casandra Zimmerman, both of Lima; her maternal grandparents, Patricia Clayborn and David (Sandy) Clayborn, all of Van Wert, and David Hager of South Bend, Indiana; her maternal great-grandmother, Marjorie Kerns of Elkhart, Indiana; her paternal grandparents, Pamela (Daryl) Styer of Lima, and Timothy (Diana) Wireman of Mount Victory; her paternal great-grandmothers, Ruth Parlette of Lima and Mary Wireman of Belle Center; her “adopted” grandmother, Helen Counselor of Van Wert; her special uncle and aunt, Chris and Danielle Hager of Middleville, Michigan, and their children, Megan, Kris, and Lauren Hager; and many other cousins.

Hannah was a sophomore at Van Wert High School. She worked at the Haunted Woods with DARE, was active with on-stage productions at Van Wert High School, was a member of the VWHS chapter of FCCLA and the Cougar track team. Hannah had a love for cats.

The family would also like to thank Lutheran Hospital for all of the wonderful care they gave Hannah and ask family and friends to bring small keepsake remembrances to the funeral home to be placed in a special box.

Funeral services will be conducted at 1 p.m. Wednesday, June 4, at Alspach-Gearhart Funeral Home & Crematory in Van Wert, with Pastor Matt Braun officiating.

Calling hours are from 2-8 p.m. Tuesday, June 3, at the funeral home.
