And Dhillon is one lucky pup, getting this gorgeous collar and lead as a little present…
Dhillon and I were actually invited down to Mulberry HQ yesterday to meet other fashion pooches and to see this lovely, fun new collaboration, and being a fan of Mungo & Maud already (see Dhillon’s shoot in store here), he naturally loved it all.
This is the first collection between Mulberry and luxury cat and dog outfitters Mungo and Maud, and comprises of just collars and leads at the moment, but there might be more products coming soon. We were told that this is a long-standing partnership, which is super exciting!
Dhillon chose this green and bright orange duo, but they also come in green and blue and red and blue. The green on this one is the classic Mulberry leather (coated to increase durability), and the orange is a canvas material.
What was lovely about visiting the HQ was that they asked a few representatives from Canine Partners – an amazing charity dedicated to training and providing assistant dogs to disabled people – down with some of their dogs (who were obviously wearing some of the collection too), and Jo, a remarkable lady who is wheelchair-bound and been partnered with a dog, Derby, a black Labrador.
Jo gave her account of what it was like after her terrible accident which left her in the wheelchair, not being able to do much for herself at all, and what life was like since having Derby. It was a truly touching moment.
Derby helps Jo with most day-to-day things that we just take for granted. He can fill and empty the washing machine, open and close doors, even wake Jo’s kids up in the morning. It is just amazing. Even Dhillon was in awe! A great charity doing some fantastic work.
