Here's the deal; I treated myself to a massive online shop. I'm the type of person to buy one or two things at a time, I don't usually go on massive sprees. I dunno what possessed me to do this, but I've got loads of new clothes in my arsenal, which means loads of new outfit posts. Score. I realised that I'm wearing a few key trend pieces for this spring/summer, so thought I could do a little round up in this post.

I'm just gonna go straight in with the clear winner of this outfit - the statement leather jacket. Now, I am living dat vegan life, so this is obviously faux. Statement leather jackets are deffo having a bit of a thing at the moment. They're all over the high street, mostly covered in studs, patches and embroidery. Embroidery is also another massive trend, particularly on shirts and jeans (I've got the most perfect pair of embroidered boyfriend jeans that I can't wait to show off to y'all), however I was completely sucked in by the rose/slogan embroidery on the back of this jacket. It's badass, no? Especially with the studs. When I was 16, I swear this would have been my dream leather jacket.

Metallic pieces are also gonna be a big spring summer trend, especially shoes and bags. I've got a pretty sassy pair of rose gold flatforms from Public Desire, waiting for me to come and collect them from the post office. However, for this outfit, I've gone and dug out old silver trainers.

Let's move onto the trend that's taken over Instagram; fishnets under jeans. Fishnets under ripped jeans look sassy as hell, but if your going for a pair of fully intact, cropped jeans (that's another key trend right there), I'd suggested getting yourself down to Primark, and picking up a pair of their £1 fishnet socks. I got myself a couple of pairs a few years back, and let me tell you, they've done me well.

I've layered a mesh top over a little crop, and it adds so much more interest rather than just wearing the crop top by itself. That's probably why I'm so on board with this mesh trend. It looks badass mate. You can either buy a little mesh top like I've done, and layer it over a bralette or underneath a slip dress, but I've also seen mesh tops with embroidery and ruffles (yes ruffles), even band tees with mesh sleeves. Chokers are also, well and truly, here to stay for another season. Can't say I'm sorry, this is my absolute favourite trend. Ever. #the90sisheretostay
