Climbing trees is a standard activity for young children who love to play outside. However, this six-year-old boy from Duplin County in North Carolina found himself a bit too high up and had to be rescued by a fire brigade. He scaled a 50-foot tree for fun and a cherry picker had to be used to retrieve him. The little boy didn´t realise how high he climbed and became stranded among the branches. After having difficulty climbing down, his parents were forced to call Faison Fire and Rescue. The boy stayed still in the tree while the firefighters

A symbol of a tiny salt shaker warning that certain meals are high in sodium will appear on menus in chain restaurants in New York City from this week. The move makes New York the first US city to use salt labelling in an effort to combat heart disease and stroke. The Obama administration is boosting the amount of corn-based ethanol and other renewable fuels in the U.S. gasoline supply despite sustained opposition by an unusual alliance of oil companies, environmentalists and some GOP presidential candidates. Minutes before, Ryder had been in the back seat of an overturned vehicle that struck a tree off the side of Highway 198 in Visalia.
