Ariens Manufacturing changed its prayer-on-the-job policy Thursday, drawing pushback from dozens of Muslim employees who say they’re now out of a job. Before this week, Somali Muslims employed by Ariens were allowed to leave the production line twice a shift to pray two of the five prayers their faith requires of them daily. They prayed five minutes at a time, designating their specific duties to colleagues. A spokesperson for the Brillion-based equipment manufacturer said in a statement, in part: We are asking employees to pray during scheduled breaks in designated prayer rooms. Our manufacturing environment does not allow for unscheduled

The answer to this problem is obvious: They should convert to, say, Christianity. What? They want all of us to convert to Islam.

This could be a good sign. Corporate America used to be terrified of sub-groups of all kinds. Maybe the Trump attitude is taking hold.
Now if they could close those prayer rooms and make them into breakfast cafeterias- heavy on the bacon.

While federal law appears to support Ariens´ position, Obama´s Injustice Dept lawyers will surely be swarming over the company to find a reason to file a legal challenge with large fines. Ariens will probably be visited by OSHA, EPA and IRS officials to further pressure management to cave. if Ariens has federal contracts, these will also be threatened with cancellation.

Remember, Obama stands with the Muslims, not Americans.

Ariens Company is a Brillion, Wisconsin-based equipment company which has a long history manufacturing snow blowers and lawn tractors for commercial and high-end consumer markets. Ariens touts itself as being the “mower of the White House lawn,” “official snow blower of Lambeau Field,” and the “King of Snow”.

If it´s a past practice of the company to accommodate prayer, Ariens will have to show that something essential to production has forced an end to this “reasonable” religious accommodation. It´s generally a losing proposition once you´re before the local/state/Federal civil rights agencies…and litigation is not cheap, either. Simply losing money and thus lessening or eliminating profits won´t win the day, either.

Why can´t the employees use their breaks to do their prayers? The law says employees must take two 15 minute breaks and a lunch during each 8 hour shift. They said they were only doing 2 prayers during the work period.

Darn I may start rooting for the Packers. Even though they lost today. This problem wouldn´t exist if they hadn´t been hired in the first place. Americans looking for work should be given a priority.

A new lawsuit filed on behalf of several Atheist plaintiffs argues the phrase “In God We Trust” on U.S. money is unconstitutional, and calls for the government to get rid of it. Sacramento attorney Michael Newdow filed the lawsuit Monday in Akron, Ohio. He´d unsuccessfully sued the government at least twice challenging the use of the phrase “under God” in the Pledge of Allegiance. Throughout much of his lawsuit, the word appears as “G-d.” Newdow claims “In God We Trust” violates the separation of church and state. One plaintiff says his Atheism is “substantially burdened because he is forced to
