Happy Thanksgiving Week, y’all!! Well, at least for the American readers out there.

I’m taking a break in my long to-do list to spend time with family and eat the best food of the year. Yay! I can’t wait for the food. I’m eating for two this year, so you know I’ll need to go back for seconds.

My mom is a fabulous cook and will no doubt wow us with her culinary skills again this year. She makes the best cornbread dressing and hash brown casserole along with a plethora of amazing pies and cakes. Oh and melt-in-your-mouth turkey. I come from a large family, so there will be plenty of people to eat all of those pies and cakes. No worries about me eating them all. Nope, no worries.

This year I’m more thankful than ever because of this precious baby girl growing in my belly. Only three more weeks until I get to meet her face-to-face. After struggling to get pregnant and losing two babies to miscarriage, I can’t believe that I’m about to have a newborn in my arms again in less than a month. I keep thinking that I need to share more about our journey with secondary infertility in case anyone else out there might be encouraged by our story. I’m still thinking about how much or just exactly how I want to share it all.

In the meantime I’m just so incredibly grateful that this pregnancy has been super easy (knock on wood) and I’ve been able to still be active, taking care of Miss A and getting stuff done in preparation for this sweet new life. (At this point in my last pregnancy I had already been on bed rest for 4 weeks and was a week away from delivering!! No fun!)

Ok, enough of the sappy stuff! Let’s get on to the party!
