This sweet and whimsical baby girl woodland nursery inspiration board is both adorable and fun! Love the pops of blue, pinks and yellows with natural, outdoorsy elements!
Happy Monday, friends!! I don’t know about you, but we had fall break last week, which meant Coach and Miss A were home all week long. And while I love spending time with my family, I’ve mentioned before how I thrive on routine and a schedule. So, this morning was a welcome relief when everyone got back on the regular schedule!
I’ve been dying to share my inspiration board with you for sweet baby girl who is making her debut in just a couple of months! I figured it’s high time I at least nail down my ideas so that I can start on getting her room ready for her. Eek!
This inspiration board has been months in the making with me following my own advice on how to start a room makeover. I figured out what I needed first: a crib, dresser/changing table and rocking chair/ottoman. Really those are the basic staples of any nursery and the rest is fun!
I wanted to create a sweet, colorful and whimsical woodland themed-room. Coach is an avid hunter and lover of the outdoors, so since we doesn’t have a son yet, I thought it would be a fun tribute to him for his daughter to have an outdoor-themed room.
To be honest he doesn’t really care, but in my mind it’s a cute connection to her daddy. You know, just keepin’ it real.
Then I started doing my research on then items I loved for my room and set up a secret Pinterest board. I will most likely make it not secret very soon, now that I’ve posted all of my ideas here. There are a few other things that I’ve pinned that didn’t make it on my inspiration board, so you may want to see those, too!
My initial inspiration came from these two adorable prints from Lay Baby Lay. Serioously, her nursery boards are always a huge inspiration. But, I just LOVE these two prints.
I also really love the Restoration Hardware baby line, but I’m not going to be shelling out those kind of bucks for new furniture when I already have some. I’m going to try my hand at painting Miss A’s old crib and dresser to have the RH finish look. We’ll see how far I get with that DIY project before she comes. I better get on that! You better believe there will be a tutorial when it does happen!
And while we already have a glider for rocking and feeding the new baby, I am really wanting one of these Best Storytime Chairs. I LOVE how comfy they are and can be transitioned into an adult living space once the baby grows out of the rocking chair phase. I’m thinking we’ll get it and keep the new one in the bedroom and the old one in the living room for now. We’ll see! Better save my pennies, huh? Or maybe I’ll ask for it for Christmas!
