Lately I’ve been trying to think of some new ways to use the pallets I have in my garage. I’ve made several DIY projects with them over the past two years and I love having the free wood available out there whenever I need some. But the stuff in our garage seems to be growing by the minute. (We currently have a lawn mower situation, as in there are three out there – two riding and one push – and it’s getting kind of claustrophobic.) I know I need to just disassemble my pallets and use that space more efficiently, but hopefully not fill it with more lawn mowers. So I’ve had pallets on the brain lately. 
Oh, and kind of funny story. I was picking up Miss A from preschool a couple of weeks ago and my friend stopped me in the hall and asked where she could get some free pallets to make a crate. And then as I was leaving the school, I saw one on the side of the road. So I flagged her down. Now, we’re both preggo and she’s due next week. So here we are, two pregnant girls out there trying to get the largest pallet I’ve ever seen into her SUV. I’m sure it was pretty funny to watch! Unfortunately we couldn’t get it to fit. But her husband went back later and got it for her. And he made her a crate that afternoon. So fun! Such a nice hubby.
And while I know that pallet projects have been done over and over and over again, I’m not sure that free wood will ever go out of style? Nothing beats free, rustic wood. Am I right?
