Welcome to my introduction to what I hope will be an ongoing series of posts to help you with your travel planning and getting the most out of your travels.
In this series I plan to cover everything right from the very beginning. Starting with choosing your destination to researching, booking, packing enjoying your time away and finally how to remember it when you get back. Plus lots more in between.
Why should you follow my advice?
I’ve been successfully planning my own travels for five years now to over 20 countries on four continents, both independent and group travel for myself, friends an family. Anyone who is a close friend or family member of mine knows I’m the go to person when they start planning a trip and I love helping them out and talking travel before, during and after their travels.
While I did encounter a few first time traveller mistakes on my first trip, it’s been smooth sailing ever since. It’s those mistakes and years of experience have taught me what needs more close attention while travel planning and lots of money saving tips and tricks.
Basically when I’m not travelling I’m planning for my next trip and the one after that and the one after that…… You get my drift. I love planning and being organised, maybe almost as much as I love travelling itself. And most of all I know I’m good at it.
What can you expect from this series?
Firstly the posts in this series will be sporadic. Maybe they will be every fortnight, month or every six weeks. I want to spend as much time as I can crafting each one to ensure that you, as my readers, are getting the very best information in a way that is easy to follow, useful and interesting.
As for the topics. I’ve come up with a basic plan (yup, I plan everything) of the topics I will cover but I would like your input. If I’ve missed anything that you would like to read about then let me know using the comment section below. There might be a particular area of the travel planning process that you find particularly daunting. Let me know and I will be sure to help you out.

June is going to be another of my popular theme months with the destination to be announced on Monday. But I can promise you that my first post in this travel planning series, Choosing a Destination, will appear during the first week of July.
