Huawei honor 8 has been officially launched in China today. It is the latest high-end smartphone in the honor series, which comes with the dual 12 megapixel rear cameras that was introduced with the Honor V8. Lets check out the rest of the specifications and features of the device below.

The Huawei honor 8 features a 5.2-inch (1920 x 1080 pixels) Full HD 2.5D curved glass display, which has 96% NTSC color gamut. It is powered by an octa-core Kirin 950 (Quad 2.3 GHz A72 + Quad 1.8 GHz A53) 16nm processor along with Mali T880-MP4 GPU. It comes with 3 GB of RAM and 32 GB of internal storage or 4 GB of RAM and 32 / 64 GB of internal storage, which can be further expanded up to 128 GB via microSD card. The device runs on Android 6.0 Marshmallow OS out of the box with EMUI 4.1 on top of it. The box package of the handsets turns into a VR headset.
The honor 8 rocks a 12 megapixel dual rear primary camera with dual-tone LED flash, f/2.2 aperture, Laser Auto Focus and 6P lens. It has 1.4 µm pixel size and it promises extraordinary image quality in low-light photography. On the front, there is a 8 megapixel front-facing camera with f/2.4 aperture for selfies and video calling. It comes with Hybrid Dual SIM support (nano + nano/microSD) and a 3.5 mm audio jack. It has a full metal body that is 7.45 mm thick and weigh 153 grams. It features a fingerprint sensor on the back.
The honor 8 comes with 4G LTE, 3G HSPA+, WiFi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac (Dual Band), Bluetooth 4.2, NFC, USB Type-C and GPS as connectivity options. The smartphone packs in a 3,000 mAh battery under the hood with fast charging support.
The Huawei honor 8 is available in Sunrise Gold, Midnight Black, Sakura Pink, Sapphire Blue and Pearl White color variants. It has been priced at CNY 1999 (US $299 / INR Rs 20,055 approximately) for the 3GB RAM + 32GB ROM netcom / carrier edition, CNY 2299 (US $343 / INR Rs 23,047 approximately) for the 4GB RAM + 32GB ROM entire network version and CNY 2499 (US $373 / INR Rs 25,052 approximately) for the 4GB RAM + 64GB ROM entire network version. It can now be ordered in China and will go on sale starting from July 19, 2016.
