There’s nothing like the start of a new season to make me want to hit the shops. But rather than going out and buying a completely new outfit, it’s much easier to stock up on key pieces to bring your outfit up to date. This doesn’t have to be a expensive operation as there are plenty of sites like Voucherbox UK to help keep the cost down.

There’s no surprises that the key trends for spring this year include pastels and florals, but my favourite trend this season is definitely the boho look. It’s a look I’ve always admired but never quite managed to master. Here’s my pick of some of my favourite boho pieces available:

Pom Pom Bag: ASOS | Sequinned kaftan: H&M | Floral trousers: Topshop | Shoes: TOMs | Tusk necklace: New Look | Red paisley dress: River Island | Gladiator sandals: New Look | Aztec print cami : New Look | Moccasins: Minnetonka | Maxi dress: Tory Burch | Ethnic print maxi skirt: New Look | Floral kimono: River Island

I’m not sure I actually own anything pastel coloured. I don’t think my skin tone is right for it and it just doesn’t feel ‘me’. However, that doesn’t stop me lusting over the beautiful ice-cream shades that pop up every Spring. Even if I can’t see myself in a lilac dress anytime soon I reckon I could pull off pastel Converse or minty nail polish and sit on the edge of the trend!

Jumper: H&M | Sunglasses: Prada | Trainers: Vans | Pink t-shirt: Dorothy Perkins | Nail polish: Essie ‘Rock the Boat’ | Mint skort: Miss Selfridge | Pink skater dress: New Look | Mint dress: Coast | Trainers: Converse | Yellow dress: Ted Baker | Mint watch: New Look | Pink platforms: Topshop

I love florals but I can never seem to find what I’m looking for in the shops. I’m a bit picky about floral prints. I find that a lot of high street florals can look a bit cheap and nasty and I prefer florals that look ‘realistic’ over the old-fashioned granny-looking printed ones (does that make sense? I know there’s a word to describe this but I can’t think of it. I’m picturing Mary Katrantzou prints though…)

Strapless dress: Coast | Shorts: Zimmermann | Kimono: H&M |  Skirt: Oasis | Trousers: Ted Baker | Shoes: TOMs | Bikini: Dolce & Gabbana | Trousers: Oasis | Purse: Accessorize | Shoes: Ted Baker

What’s your favourite Spring trend?
