Well let me tell you – this music is so simple and calming. I love listening to calming guitars, piano, strings and flutes. They are so calming! For example today I had the most difficult day at work ever and the temperature in the office was stifling and hot – brutally hot with miserable cold outside. Between the stress of the day and the physical stress of the temperature extremes – I could not wait to come home and just hang out listening to Simple Treasures while my daughter watched BigHero6. I ignored the dishes, ignored homework (hope that doesn’t make me a bad mother but I simply could not do one more thing) and just closed my eyes and relaxed.
I don’t like to bring my work home with me – emotionally or other. I prefer to be as “present” as possible for my family but sometimes that means taking some time for me before giving that little bit that is left to them. I need to recharge, refocus and remember what is important. Simple Treasures can help. And in case you don’t know this – I love Jeff Gold and so does my family. My daughter is right now in bed listening to Sleep Well for Kids…
