Orée, a hardware startup based in France has setup a pop up shop in Tokyo to pedal its first product, the Orée Board. The all wood keyboard is carved from a single piece of walnut or maple. The key ornamentation is then added via laser cutter. The awesome thing about these (aside from everything) is that they can even customize the key configurations and information displayed. They are even able to add a variety of illustrations that were created specifically for this project by an illustrator based in Barcelona.

The goal of the Orée Board is warmth. With all the cold aluminum and feelingless plastic keyboards that are out there, this one aims to have a more natural, personable feel to it. Weighing in at just shy of $200, this is not a spur of the moment purchase, but it is a beautiful one.
