The clinic in Marylebone is practical, functional and quite liberating. You stumble in off the street to be greeted by a flurry of activity. Opposite the reception desk are four pedicure chairs, all occupied with a variety of treatments taking place. It’s all very communal, with light chatter and the odd nail being painted. It was quite refreshing actually. No airs and graces. The staff are professional and you can purchase the product range from the famous podiatrist to keep the benefits going at home.

I’ve never been one to take a great deal of care of my feet. A week before holidays I might slather some foot cream on before bed and that’s about it. I’ve only had a pedicure once, so the chance to have the new Medical Pedicure at this renowned clinic , well I jumped at the chance.
Combining a consultation, analysis and high tech machines, The Medical Pedicure, performed by a qualified podiatrist at Margaret Dabbs London scrapes, buffs, smoothes and refines feet to perfection in 45 minutes. Foot files and electric equipment tackle toe nails and more serious concerns by surgically removing calluses and thick, tough, dry skin in an instant. Nails are shaped and rehydrated with Dabb’s exclusive range of products using Emu Oil as the key active ingredient. This treatment, popular with men and women, transforms feet and covers treatment, prevention and care of the feet.
Beginning with an examination, my feet (thankfully) presented few problems. A bit of dry skin, and slight cracks at the heel. The Medical Pedicure, performed by a podiatrist, uses tools that look like a cross between dentist tools and carpentry equipment. Lots of filing, scrubbing and sanding ensured that my feet we’re the smoothest they have been for years. The toe nails were nipped and clipped to perfection and the cuticles and dry skin we’re given a thorough over haul. And it didn’t stop there. My treatment was actually the Ultimate Luxury Foot therapy, so in addition I was treated to a manicure and after the medical pedicure. I was hooked up to a pure oxygen head set and the podiatrist proceeded to scrub, massage and hydrate my feet to perfection. It was thoroughly relaxing and I drifted off into a state of bliss. Who knew that a pedicure could be so fabulous? I really was very impressed with the service at Margaret Dabbs London and the thorough, professional way the staff work.
