The NOLA Music Awards is a prestigious award showcase giving appreciation, recognition and honor to our national and local artists who have exemplified the essential aspects of Jazz and Urban Culture. The NOLA Music Awards will be a four day event filled with jam sessions, seminars, live-art installations and cyphers, culminating in the end event, the awards show. The 2016 NOLA Music Awards will be Saturday, October 22nd and will be hosted by Mario P & Shiny Green.
This year’s show will certainly be the biggest one ever, as the list of nominees is star studded. So many artists from New Orleans had huge years in 2016, and The NOLA Music Awards did an amazing job capturing their greatness this year. Speaking of greatness, Young Greatness is nominated for the biggest award of the night, the Soulja Slim Award, Best Mixtape for I Tried To Tell Em 2, and of course best song with “Moolah”. Young Greatness has completely kicked doors down hailing from New Orleans, and the industry has completely taken notice.
