The Smartphone App Review - The Smartphone App Review - High Quality App Reviews for Smartphones and Tablets

Bidding for deals online isn’t a new idea, but it usually entails being the highest spender to win. DealDash – Bid to Shop & Save on Auction Games has a new approach, letting you bid for the right to spend the least on an item you want the most. Here is the app’s full description:

DealDash auctions offers discounts of up to 90% on brand new electronics, kitchen appliances, and more.

Bid on overstock brand named goods at up to 90% off retail. As seen on TV, DealDash guarantees free shipping with every purchase. Bid on new tablets, cameras, household goods, furniture, gift cards and more!

DealDash is a shopping app that combines fun and excitement of games to discounts far better from what you would expect from a coupon app or a reward program, not to mention your local mall. Shopping has never been this fun! Clash with other bidders and crush them in an auction where the highest bidder takes all!

What makes these savings possible? We offer overstock inventory auctions in which everything must go – no matter how low the winning bid is.

Featured by the Financial Times, CNBC, Huffington Post and accredited by the BBB. DealDash now finally also on iOS! Download the app today and try us out!

After launching the DealDash app, you can login or create a new account. Before creating a new DealDash account, the app summarizes how it works, assuring users it is not like other auction sites. For one, bids are purchased in packs at $0.60 per bid and every auction starts at $0 with ten seconds remaining in the auction. Each bid raises the price by $0.01 and resets the ten second timer. If the timer hits zero, the last bidder wins the product at the final price. After this very informative intro, the account can be created by choosing a username and adding an email address and password. There is also an option to sign-in through Facebook if preferred. I personally like to use the Facebook sign-in as I really don’t need to remember yet another password. Once the profile is set up, buy a bid pack and start bidding.

Now I would like to say it’s that easy, but there is a bit more to it than that. As simple as it all sounds, there is some additional information to keep in mind. For one, you can enlist the help of a BidBuddy which will auto bid for you at the last-minute for a better chance at winning the item. If you lose an auction, you have the opportunity to buy the item at a retail price and then have your bids returned to you. You can also earn free bids when you are the highest bidder. DealDash is able to keep the prices low due to the bid fees, making it a very unique auction site to say the least, with plenty of perks especially if you win. The bids are bought in packs, right now only $70 for 500 bids. Though this is a pretty good deal with bids only costing $0.14 each instead of $0.60, I would like to see more bid pack options, like a starter pack for someone wanting to try the service out and not ready to go spending $70 off the bat. Like any bid site, you still need to keep to a budget as spending all of your bids to win doesn’t always get you the best deal. To keep things fair, DealDash even limits users from winning the same item won in a week which is nice. Shipping for your won items is always free, another nice perk you don’t always see, and I like that DealDash is upfront with how everything works which makes things much more reassuring.

DealDash is an easy to use app for bidding and winning great products online. The bids will cost you and it takes strategy to win, but the reward of a product 95% off with free shipping is a real deal of a lifetime that could be worth the risk. The app is available now on the App Store for free.
