If you have passed by the City Hall area lately, you must have noticed the large-scale construction that is going on across from Suntec Singapore. The mixed-use development that is currently developing, will be home to a brand new luxury  hotel known as The South Beach. The hotel will be conveniently located adjacent to the Esplanade MRT Station with an overhead bridge on Nicoll Highway that directly connects to Suntec Singapore. The South Beach adds new lustre to the impressive skyline, dotted with many of Singapore’s most iconic landmarks.

The hotel is part of a mixed-use development that is both ecologically sustainable and contemporary. Together with the exclusive private dining club, South Beach comprises a total area of over 34,000 sqm. The architecture also cleverly integrates the former army blocks and the NCO Club into the design. The hotel resides amidst a place of historical value, evoking a sense of pride and nostalgia. This fusion of old and new becomes essential in architectural literature, undoubtedly ranking among the architectural models of modern Singapore.

With 654 carefully appointed rooms and suites that are contemporary inspired and designed by French designer Philippe Starck, this latest development by City Developments Limited (CDL) Singapore and IOI Corporation Berhad boasts brilliant architecture by international award-winning firm Foster + Partners and leading design global firm Aedas.

There are many distinctive spaces in the hotel, including 43 imaginative social spaces and stylishly designed H.I.P. (Highly Individualised Places and People) rooms that offer a sanctuary of calm and comfort. With emphasis on imaginative social spaces to cater to the need for ‘isolated togetherness’, The South Beach aims to further promote the luxury H.I.P. hotel concept to the region and set new hospitality standards by Creating Infinite Experiences for and with you. Additionally, the hotel also aims to provide in-house guests a unique hospitality experience in the luxuriously well-appointed guest rooms providing the latest integrated technology experience. Other amenities highlights include Butler Cabinets in selected guest rooms and a complimentary fully-stocked refreshment bar.
