SHERIDAN — The Big Horn Lady Rams (2-5) beat Wyoming Indian 56-54 at Wyoming Indian Friday night to start the Front Range Classic.

Head coach Mike Daley said that it was a good win in a tough place to play for a young team.

“We had our hands full,” he said. “I was very proud of our kids, it’s a tough place to take a young team.

“Especially when to take a team this far from home when everybody is hitting Christmas break, so for the mental part of our team I was very pleased.

Hanneah Puckett scored 22 points and Bailey Bard score 15.

He did add that they need to work on free throw shooting after they hit just 24-43 from the line in the win.

Big Horn plays Wind River and Big Piney to close out the calendar year today.

SHERIDAN — The Tongue River Lady Eagles (4-2) lost their second game of the year Friday, falling 53-43 at Wind River. Falling behind early, head coach Dianne Moser said the girls played hard throughout but the one bad quarter was enough to keep Wind River out of reach.

“We got within seven but couldn’t quite put them away,” she said.

Tara Stimpson scored 16, Amanda Buller and Kylee Knobloch each scored seven points.
