After the devastation of World War II, some of the Pomeranian people of Poland fled to Brazil. A century earlier, their ancestors had established a home in the mountains where they could grow the same crops they grew in Europe and retain their traditions. While they retained their Christian traditions, many Pomerano do not know the truth of the Gospel and its power to change a life. The Pomerano translation team stands ready to bring them the Gospel of Luke and the “JESUS” film in their heart language to make the Gospel meaningful in their daily lives.
The Lord has moved the local government to add this language project to their other official programs — with the Bible as the main promoter of the written Pomerano mother tongue!
Praise God that His Word in Pomerano is impacting lives. Pray that the Holy Spirit will give many people a good grasp of the Bible in their mother tongue. Training sessions this month are further equipping the translators for their task. Praise God for this good start to the Pomerano Bible translation project. Pray for its ongoing success.
