This scale measures 12" x 13" x 1" (a sturdy glass platform) and weighs four pounds. It comes with a two-year warranty. It contains a large, 3.5" LCD display with blue backlighting. It can accommodate up to 400 pounds (180 kgs), with graduation increments of .2 pounds (.1 kg). For accurate measurements, it has four high precision sensors. The EatSmart Precision Digital Bathroom Scale can measure in three different modes: pounds, kilos, or stones, convenient for international customers as well as those residing in the United States. It has EatSmart "Step-On" technology, and comes with four AAA batteries to start you off. This scale retails for only $28.95 on Amazon.
First of all, I love the very modern and sleek design of the EatSmart Precision Digital Bathroom Scale. Say goodbye to those clunky, thick white scales that you may have had in the past; this scale won't be detracting from your bathroom decor. In fact, it may even help spruce things up. It has a nice, thin glass platform with a simplistic interface. It is not too large or too small, and will coordinate well with most bathrooms, despite how much space you have to work with. The LCD panel is large enough for those who are somewhat visually impaired -- it can be read easily during the day, or even at night with the soothing blue backlight. The numbers are clear and you do not need to squint down at the scale. The no-slip design keeps the scale in place in your bathroom, and you do not need to worry about it shifting when you step on it.
I love the EatSmart "Step-On" technology...I am so tired of monkeying around with older scales that are so particular. I can't tell you how many times I have wanted to throw my old scale out the window because it wants me to tap it first, step on, and then shift my weight around ten times before it will give me a half-accurate reading. I don't want to spend my time dancing on the scale; I just want to step on, get my reading, and step off. This is exactly what the EatSmart Precision Digital Bathroom Scale does for you. It is so convenient and quick. There is no need to tap or wiggle. My old scale would only read my weight accurately half of the time. I generally had to weigh myself three times and take the mean average...which is silly! Sometimes it would go to "C" when it was really off, instead of zeroing out. The EatSmart Precision Digital Bathroom Scale has been precise, as it claims to be. Out of the many times I (and my boyfriend) have used it, it only went to the "C" once, and I had to do a reread. Otherwise, it zeroed out and gave me an accurate reading every time. I love that it reads to the nearest .2 pounds. This is very helpful when you are trying to lose weight, or to monitor weight changes when you go on and off of medications.
EatSmart clearly cares about quality and customer service, because of how the Precision Digital Bathroom Scale arrives. You receive four AAA batteries, so the scale is already operational. You don't see this a lot - usually I get all excited to open a product and then simultaneously disappointed when I find there are no batteries included.
