Batiste Dry Shampoo originated in the UK in the 1970's. Today, it has expanded and is now sold internationally, with a growing product line. Batiste has been featured in many magazines, including (but not limited to): Nylon, A Beautiful Bride, Seventeen, Martha Stewart Living, Fashion Affair, Woman's World, Cosmo, Elle, etc. If that isn't enough, Batiste has also won many awards and is used by famous hairstylists and celebrities!

There are so many reasons that Batiste Dry Shampoo is a great buy for any woman. Do you ever have those mornings where EVERYTHING goes wrong and you are running ten minutes behind? Wouldn't it be great just to say the "heck" with applying shampoo, conditioner, and blow drying your hair? The dry shampoo can save so much time on a busy day...I bet you could even apply it in the car on your way to work or school! Many mornings, the main reason I want to take a shower is because my hair feels greasy or dirty. This product would help solve that problem, and would get me out the door faster. If you've ever been at the gym, or outside doing any kind of physical activity on a hot day and you have uncooperative hair, you've probably faced an oily disaster -- here's another scenario where Batiste Dry Shampoo can help. It can also be that quick little fix in the middle of a long day, or even the solution to "hat hair"!

Dry shampoo is great for all types of hair, because it can be tweaked
to "work in your favor". If you have thin, fly-away hair, the dry
shampoo will help add volume and style when applied. If you have thicker
hair and do not desire the extra volume, simply massage the dry shampoo
in and then brush out any excess. Batiste Dry Shampoo works well on
color-treated hair -- especially the "color" line, which actually strengthens
your color and helps hold vibrancy. Spray it on your roots as your hair grows out to help mask gray hairs or mismatching colors. The dry shampoo is also safe for
hair extensions and weave, so long as you can massage into your natural
hair roots.

Batiste Dry Shampoo is unique from other dry shampoo brands, because you have more than one product to chose from! I was excited to find that Batiste Dry Shampoo comes in a wide variety of fragrances and even colors. Not everyone enjoys the same scents, and everyone definitely does not have the same hair color. I was actually unaware that dry shampoo could be tinted, but I think that is a neat feature. Here are the different types that you can choose from:

Fresh Fragrance - Contemporary, cool, crisp fragrance

Original Fragrance - Fabulously clean, light fragrance

Blush Fragrance - The essence of femininity, this fragrance is the floral, flirty way to turn heads

Wild Fragrance - A feisty fragrance for those who are in charge of their animal instincts

Cherry Fragrance - For anyone who loves their look sweet, smooth and full of luscious retro cherry flavor

Paisley Fragrance - A rich, elegant fragrance with slightly fruity kick packaged in the coolest, most-colorful can you've ever laid your eyes on

Graffiti Fragrance - An urban and edgy fragrance

Tropical Fragrance - An exotic coconut fragrance

Dark and Deep Brown - For dark-haired beauties. Revitalizes lifeless locks between washes with just a hint of color.

Light and Blonde - A whisper of blonde gives a color-boost to those with
lighter-colored tresses

Medium and Brunette - A slight hint of color to blend with and liven up your rich brown or fiery auburn hues

Vibrant and Red - A fabulous & fiery boost for those with red & auburn-colored tresses

Batiste Dry Shampoo is available in all varieties in the larger 6.73 oz. bottle. Travel-sized, 1.6 oz. bottles are available in Blush Fragrance, Original Fragrance, Tropical Fragrance, or Cherry Fragrance. Super-sized, 13.46 oz. bottles are available in Blush Fragrance or Tropical Fragrance.

I received the Batiste Blush Fragrance Dry Shampoo (6.73 oz.) to review, so that I could share my opinion with you all. I chose this fragrance because I love lighter, floral scents in my hair and body products. The scent is just right; in between washes, I often feel like my hair is odorless, and I would prefer it to have a nice scent like this one. It retains the fragrance, almost as if you really have showered! I thought the application was relatively easy. In order to make it easier for me to show you, I have pictures below of me spraying the Batiste Dry Shampoo onto my mom's hair. All you have to do is shake the container, then hold the bottle 30 cm from your hair and spray into your roots. Next, you massage the dry shampoo through and then brush and style as you would normally.

I have tried dry shampoos before, and I was not a fan of the "heavy" feeling they left on my hair...often it didn't feel more clean/less greasy, just more full of chemicals and crap weighing it down. Also, I had trouble getting the white residue to massage into my hair. I was happy to see that the Batiste Dry Shampoo formula was a lot lighter. Although I still had a little trouble massaging it in, I was eventually able to get rid of the residue, so I was not afraid to spray a lot on. Also, I feel like I could avoid this entirely by using one of the darker colored dry shampoos that Batiste offers. I believe that the secret to the difference in this dry shampoo compared to other brands is their main ingredient - Rice Starch instead of cornstarch. I can definitely feel the difference. I think that this dry shampoo will be a savoir in the mornings when I am getting ready to go to classes in August and I don't have time to take a shower until nighttime. Washing, drying and straightening can become quite the long process in the morning when I am half awake. Sometimes it is easier just to put my hair up, and I would feel much more confident with the dry shampoo on it. My mom also adds that she likes the scent and liked the way that the dry shampoo felt on her hair! She is happy to be a guinea pig for my reviews.
