son of a bitch the fucker knew how many people wanted to be edgemasters the fucking caption is a picture
I cannot efficiently explain how little of a shit we give for artist’s comments.
#they are almost always worthless
WOW. And I cannot efficiently explain how much of a fuckin piece of shit you are.
Whether you find them “almost always worthless” you still have no right to delete them. It’s not your art. And then you actually have the nerve to openly threaten damaging my post????? Really???? Jfc dude. Fuck you.
L E L at the idea of your words adding anything to your art or being important enough to save.
Whether they’re “important enough” to save is not for you to decide. It’s. Not. Your. Art. End of story.
Holy shit, I’m done with you.
A primary effect of putting a caption (just any caption, even if it’s just one letter) on your art is so that an easy to see link back to you the original artist is right there no matter how many reblogs it goes through. most people don’t pay much attention to the “source” up in the corner and it’s much better to have a HOTLINK STRAIGHT TO YOUR BLOG! right in the description. Cause people are lazy and it’s questionable whether they’ll even come visit your blog if they like this picture anyway rather than just popping alt-click insta-reblog and moving on, and god forbid they have to spend 3 seconds opening a new tab and typing in your url themselves if you opt for a watermark on the image itself instead. may as well make it as easy for them as possible right? But I guess some people aren’t lazy, just openly disdainful enough to spend that 3 seconds deleting the short words the artist put. There are tumblr themes that don’t show the captions on photo posts by default, just use one of those. If you’re gonna be so self-important about your ~superior aesthetic taste~ you may as well give a little recognition to the people that actually create the aesthetic content you merely curate.
I once wrote a bit of prose to go with one of my drawings (actually technically I drew the drawing to go with the prose. but who’s gonna know that unless I, I dunno, say so in the description) on one of my sideblogs, lesser known so less notes on average. even then, one of the few people who reblogged it ERASED MY ENTIRE SHORT STORY THING. I mean, it’s not even just a little tag to mention that I drew this, it was something I wrote, obviously intentional and important to me and important to the intent of that post. I can’t stand that. Once that happens, people start reblogging it and misattributing it as fanart of series I’ve never even watched, completely erasing my original message. Why?? Why do people do this?? Is it so hard to come to terms with the fact that there are some things that you just shouldn’t do out of simple respect for the people? Even a tiny thing, such as leaving the caption, is too inconceivable to you? Are you going to die if you have to decide NOT to reblog something in order to respect the OP’s simple request? You really can’t just suck it up and get a little perspective?
