The Roaming Boomers Chef’s Table Event at Sanctuary on Camelback Mountain

Looking for a fun evening of exceptional cuisine and fellow boomer camaraderie?  Then come join us for our third Roaming Boomers Chef’s Table Event.

Our previous two chef’s table events sold out in a matter of hours, and as you can see, we only have room for 12 folks.  Therefore, don’t delay in making your reservation(s).

The Event

Date: Saturday, August 17, 2013

Time: 6:30 p.m.

Place: Table XII (chef’s table) at Elements Restaurant inside the Sanctuary on Camelback Mountain Resort & Spa

Price: $125 PP (includes wine-pairing dinner, tax, and gratuity)

The Chef

Renowned Food Network celebrity chef and Iron Chef America winner, Sanctuary’s Executive Chef Beau MacMillan inspires his staff with his passion for fresh ingredients. Chef MacMillan’s ingenuity in the kitchen is stimulated by his belief that food should not be overworked, but rather appreciated for its simplicity and natural perfection. This philosophy is evident in Chef Beau MacMillan’s innovative seasonal menus that focus on fresh, local ingredients procured from a network of artisans and organic farmers.

A graduate of Johnson & Wales University in Providence, Chef Beau MacMillan spent a year under the tutelage of Chef Francois de Melogue before joining La Vieille Maison in Boca Raton. He held Sous Chef positions at the prestigious Hotel Bel Air and Shutters on the Beach in California. Chef MacMillan then joined the Sanctuary Resort in 1998. His innovation has brought elements national recognition and acclaim including the Chef Beau MacMillan victory on Iron Chef America, five appearances on NBC’s “Today Show,” and his Food Network show, “Worst Cooks In America”, and “Best Things I Ever Ate.”

The Menu

Chef Beau MacMillian is currently out of town, but we didn’t want to delay our invitation before we got our hands on the actual menu.  In the meantime, here’s a note from Chef Beau about his menu intentions:

“You will get the best local organic produce, sustainable seafood, and hormone-free meats. You can expect to see some awesome and fresh seafood, my favorite Kobe beef and some locally-grown fresh vegetables. The dinner will also be paired with wines so each course is matched with a corresponding wine chosen by Sanctuary’s very own Sommelier.”

While it may seem unusual to invite you to a chef’s table dining event without the menu, we’ve dined enough with Chef Beau over the years to know that we can trust him to create a magical, and memorable dining experience.

Once Chef Beau is back in town, we’ll email you a copy of his proposed chef’s table menu for your approval.  In the unlikely event that the menu is not satisfactory to you, we’ll happily refund the full price of your reservation(s).  Sound fair?

The Setting

We’ve reserved Table XII, which some have dubbed the ultimate private dining room in Scottsdale.  As you can see in the photograph above, there’s comfortable seating for 12 at a beautifully appointed laquer-finished table complete with kitchen views, and a door for the chef to come interact with us during our dining experience.  Sounds fun!
