Southbank Centre once again ushers in the New Year with the Vintage New Year’s Eve Party. For one night only, the Royal Festival Hall transforms into five floors of entertainment including seven pop-up vintage nightclubs, live music, leading DJs and expert dance tuition, curated by Wayne, Gerardine and Jack Hemingway of Hemingway Design and the Vintage Festival team. The London New Year’s Eve Ball hosted by Smart Group at Battersea Evolution brings all the glitz of a Times Square New Year’s Eve to Battersea Park. For those heading to town for the fireworks and looking for an early supper, Head Chef Kim Woodward is serving a three-course supper from 5.30pm-6.30pm. Barrio Soho is throwing a hip-shaking Copacabana-style celebration with its Masked Carnival Do Brazil party. Welcome cocktails will be served on arrival, a giant Caipirinha luge will take centre stage, there will be Taste of Brasil Samba dancers, a limbo competition and a prize for the best dressed (guests are encouraged to wear masks, traditional white or interpret their own version of Samba chic).
