Tucked in a picaresque section of Soho, is E. Shaw Jewels. The jewelry store is run by mother-daughter duo, Eva and Liz. Together they create intricate gorgeous designs that you cannot find anywhere else. Why their jewelry is not in MOMA is beyond my comprehension. Their wearable works of art are, believe it not, extremely affordable.
They use sterling silver, 14-kt gold filled, 22-kt gold-vermeil, or 14-kt gold which are combined with semi-precious stones from around the world. Raw stone studs (amethyst, emerald, ruby, peridot and more) are only $40. There are gorgeous bracelets, rings and necklaces that you can adorn yourself with, or give as a gift. It's no wonder that they were named one of the top 6 indie boutiques in New York City by Where Traveler.
