Six Quebec Major Junior Hockey League property will participate in this year’s Major Midget Atlantic Championships, taking place in Kensington, P.E.I. this weekend.
Five teams from the Atlantic provinces will participate in the tournament; Kensington Monaghan Farms Wild, host, Moncton Mark’s Work Wearhouse Flyers, representing New Brunswick, the St. John’s Maple Leafs, representing Newfoundland and Labrador, Newbridge Academy Gladiators, representing Nova Scotia, and the Charlottetown Mark’s Work Wearhouse Islanders, representing Prince Edward Island.
The Flyers have four ‘Q’ property on their team. Kyle Ward (Saint John), Felix LeBlanc (Rimouski), Chris Sarault (Saint John) and Julien Galloway (Rimouski).
Sebastien Cormier (Charlottetown – Moncton Wildcats property) and Parker Ronahan (Kensington – Cape Breton Screaming Eagles property) will also take part in the tournament.
The tournament gets underway on Thursday with Charlottetown versus St. John’s at 1 p.m., Moncton versus Newbridge at 4 p.m., and St. John’s versus Kensington at 8 p.m., all games at AST.
