Treat your taste buds to some mouthwatering sizzlers at a distinct Sizzler Food Festival from the 22nd to the 30th of November at Entresol Bar, Le Meridien, Pune. The chefs at Le Meridien will be preparing a wide array of succulent non-vegetarian and vegetarian sizzlers to please every palate.

Lavasa to stage plays by acclaimed writer ‘Anton Chekhov’
Beginning this Saturday the city will start staging plays based on short stories by acclaimed Russian short story teller Anton Chekov on all weekends. The plays have been translated into English by American playwright and screenwriter, Neiil Simon.
To make the plays appealing to local audiences, playwright Abhijeet Choudhary of ‘Godse to Gandhi’ fame has Indianised the content. The plays will give a rich feel of the diversified Indian culture.
‘An Evening with Chekhov’ will feature 6 full length plays by Swatantra Theatre, followed by Cocktails and Dinner.

BLOT!
BLOT is an acronym for the Basic Love of Things. It’s also a multidisciplinary project helmed by Gaurav Malaker and Avinash Kumar, with the sole objective of creating alternative and experimental sound and vision experiences. Avinash Kumar is a designer, visual artist, filmmaker and VJ. He’s also a founding member of the two design and research firms Quicksand and BOX. Gaurav Malaker on the other hand is a DJ, producer and a founding member of Qilla Records. Together they blend sound and music using traditional filmmaking techniques as well as motion and stop-motion graphics to visually manipulate their performance spaces.

Musical Concert
Musician Hemant Pendse, a student of Pandit Jitendre Abhisheki, popularised Aanande Aiken, an Indian classical music information and appreciation program meant for those who love listening to Indian classical music but are not able to understand the intricacies of the same. Aanande Aiken is part of Hemant’s musical initiative Swarvilas. The event will begin with the performance of Pt Kaivalya Kumar on the ragas from Purvi Thaat, followed by a demonstration of ragas such as Bhairav, Todi, Khamas, Kafi and Marwa. He will be accompanied by Barat Kamat on tabla and Suyog Kundalkar on harmonium. Ravindre Khare will anchor the program and give the audience a chance to interact with the singers and clear their doubts about the ragas.
