The best things come to those who wait!

And wait, and wait, and wait, and wait. Well if you are an Android user like myself then the wait is over. Finally Prezi has launched it’s Android app, and I am delighted to say that it was well worth the very long wait.

It works amazingly well, and actually gives you a much smoother experience than the Apple version on iPad and iPhone.

Your Prezis load instantly and are ready to view in literally seconds. Once there you can present them on the move which is perfect for your next elevator pitch to the boss

Below is the official Press release from Prezi, and if you can’t wait any longer then grab the app now from the Play store.

Official Press Release

SAN FRANCISCO, CA – Feb. 24, 2015 - Prezi, the presentation platform that helps people connect more powerfully with their audiences, today launched Prezi for Android, giving the more than one billion Android users worldwide the ability to access their presentations anytime, anywhere.

“Our users have been asking for an Android app for a long time, as they spend more and more time away from their offices.” said Peter Arvai, CEO and co-founder of Prezi. “With Prezi for Android, you can have all your presentations in your pocket, so you can pitch and refine your story anytime.”

IDC recently predicted that Android owns approximately 80 percent of the smartphone market. Prezi now enables these users worldwide to practice, pitch, and share their stories, no matter where they are.

Key benefits and features of the Prezi for Android app include:

Cloud Syncing – Always have the most current version of your prezi, no matter which device it was last worked on.

Remote mobile presenting – Invite up to 30 people to a presentation that you can deliver even away from your office.

On-the-go access anytime, from anyplace – Full access to saved prezis, prezis found online and those shared by others.

Offline access to recently used prezis and to other prezis for inspiration – No Internet connection required so you can practice on the way to your presentation using your Android device.

The app received a warm welcome in Australia, where Prezi launched a beta version several months ago that was downloaded far more than anticipated. Dr Naomi Findlay, founder of the International Institute of Home Staging is one of these beta testers.

“Presentations are a key part of my job,” Dr Findlay said. “With smartphone screens growing substantially in size, I believe viewing presentations on the go will become more common. Having just moved from iPhone to Android, it was great to see that Prezi was available and it’s proved invaluable to be able to view my presentations on the move using my smartphone.”

We’ll be bringing you more info on how you can use the Prezi app to present anywhere in our next blog.
