Dear Friends,
New Moon is Tuesday, January 20 at 6:13 AM Mountain Standard Time (MST)
An important day for some kind of activation ceremony, ritual or special focus on something new that you are creating in your life. If you have a project or a new relationship or personal practice that is important to you, spend some extra time and energy honoring it and “feeding” it with creative energy as well as an upgraded commitment to do what it takes.
This is a time where dreaming big and dreaming “outside the box” is recommended. Higher centered energy is available and you should be greatly inspired with potential. Anything is possible!
Revisit your action plan for the month and the year and make adjustments without judgment. If there is something that still needs deactivating, completion or clearing, this would be a good time for that as well. Nurture yourself today even if it means eliminating something else in order to make time. Be inspired and dream big!
Blessings,
Lena

Aquarius Super New Moon ~ 0º
Tuesday, January 20, 6:13 AM Mountain Time
(January 20, 2015 1:13 PM Greenwich Time)
It’s an Aquarius triple header! Hear all the air signs cheering – that includes Gemini and Libra. The Moon joins the Sun at 0º as it blows into Aquarius on the 20th followed by Mercury in Aquarius turning retrograde the next day. Did I mention Venus is in Aquarius?
Aquarius brings so many celestial gifts. Called ‘The Water Bearer’, Aquarius is often mistaken for a water sign, but the symbol of parallel, wavy lines representing two serpents reveals to us the electric quality of Truth gleaned from Knowledge, and the water is the wisdom distilled from mental power and poured out for the benefit of all humanity. Aquarius is a the universal air sign, as one of the final four signs of the zodiac, and brings forth the ‘Ideal Relationship between all things…’ Aquarians are embracing of all forms of diversity in their progressive view. We all are seen as brothers and sisters. Think Martin Luther King, Jr. here as we celebrate his birthday and vision this month. A revolutionary visionary calling with great wisdom for those unseen to be elevated to equality with all. Idealism, vision, humanitarianism, freedom, evolutionary action – all these are the gifts of Aquarius.
Freedom is a fundamental principle for the Aquarian. The USA is greatly inspired by the right to freedom and democracy as the USA Moon is in Aquarius 27º. (Let’s not get into how well we’re doing with that at the moment). And along with that comes a rebellious attitude aligned with their eccentric Aquarian nature. Aquarians march to a different drummer; they are ruled by Uranus, the modern, eccentric, non-conforming planet discovered in 1781 that spins on its side instead of standing up perpendicular to the Sun like everyone else. What they are granted by their Uranian rulership is a clear-eyed detachment that supports higher octave mind, that is, not the thinking-connecting-communicating of Mercury mind, but the flash of insight, genius, intuition kind of mind. Couple that with their humanitarian instincts and dedication to facts, what is logical, and Truth and to holding the well-being of the whole group as primary and the result is quantum leaps in the social-collective and technological realms and strong individuals who show the way into unknown territories.
With the strong emphasis in Aquarius this New Moon brings, Uranus and its aspects are intensely spotlighted. Uranus is magnified and empowered by its exact conjunction with the South Node that we haven’t experienced since 1847. * South Node is where we heal all that we bring forward into this lifetime from our previous lifetimes. Just look to the people in the streets protesting injustices to see the effects of this revolutionary planet in the sign of Mars-ruled Aries. Do not underestimate the significance of this current 2012-2015 configuration of Uranus and Pluto. The consequences will be felt for a decade as they were in the ‘60’s when this powerful collective cycle commenced. Now is the time to welcome in change and transformation into your own life at every level of being – physical, emotional, mental, social, economic, political, spiritual, quantum – all levels. Now is the time to clean up the story you are telling yourself, welcome in what makes your heart open, and only let yourself be a conduit for the conscious awakening that is surrounding you. What we are seeing with Uranus conjuncting the South Node and squaring Pluto in Aries/Capricorn, we have not experienced in 2,600 years.* Your life is the next step in that spiral of evolution. How you hold yourself in the world matters hugely now. This transition time holds powerful energy as all edges and boundaries do. Trying to hold to the old patterns, old stories generates inertia and resistance, and consequences. Welcome and claim change, surprises and chaos in unexpected areas of your life to shake things up.
Mercury comes to a standstill at 17º Aquarius and then begins slowly moving retrograde on the day after New Moon, Jan 21 until Feb 11 (1º Aquarius). It will come out of its own shadow again reaching 17º Aquarius on March 3. We will have an extended retrograde period now to reassess our ideals, what we want to bring in for the future, determine where freedom would be a welcome ally, realign to our intuitive self through music, art, divination tools, heal our physical and energy bodies, and release, release, release.
Aquarius rules the ankles, lower legs, circulatory system-veins, hardening of the arteries (it’s a fixed sign), spasms, cramps, electrical impulses – also technology and astrology. In general Aquarians are long-lived and healthy with only an occasional sudden onset of ill health, but they are also masters of miraculous recovery. What they have to watch out for is being too detached, aloof and stubborn. Keep this in mind also at this time: Aquarius rules the 11th house of friends and long-term goals and objectives, and all of your group associations/relationships. There are no better, true and loyal friends as Aquarians. They are who you go to when you need an objective view of a situation you can’t quite get on your own, when you want to look at the big picture.
Expect a second Aquarius Super New Moon on February 18th three minutes before the Sun enters Pisces. Because the New Moons are falling almost hand in hand with the changing of the Sun into a new sign, this next New Moon on Feb 18 just gets caught on the Aquarius side of the fence by three minutes. Pisces New Moon won’t be until March 20 in the very last degree of Pisces but will come with a total solar eclipse about 13 hours before Equinox, and this takes place just 5 days after the last Pluto/Uranus exact square. Oh! It’s a powerful, juicy time!
01/20 Sun enters Aquarius 2:43 AM Mountain Time
01/21 Mercury retrograde in Aquarius 17ºuntil Feb 11 1º Aquarius
02/03 Leo Full Moon 14º 4:09 PM Mountain Time
02/18 2nd Aquarius New Moon 29º59’ 4:47 PM Mountain Time
