Doctors Frank DellaCroce and Scott Sullivan, Co-Founders of the Center for Restorative Breast Surgery (CRBS) and the St. Charles Surgical Hospital (SCSH) in New Orleans, are pleased to announce that board certified surgeon Dr. Craig Ashley Blum has joined their highly skilled group of plastic surgeons devoted to reconstructive breast surgery. Blum will work with the team of reconstructive surgeons including Drs. DellaCroce, Sullivan, Christopher Trahan, and M. Whitten Wise.

“We are excited to have Dr. Blum join our team,” states Dr. Sullivan. “He has the compassion that complements the high care standards of the Center for Restorative Breast Surgery; and he understands the unique journey each woman experiences when facing loss of a breast to cancer.”

Dr. Blum graduated with honors from the University of South Carolina and received his Medical Degree from the Medical University of South Carolina in Charleston. He also completed his internship and residency in surgery at the Medical University of South Carolina and a year of research in cancer genetics at the Hollings Cancer Center. In his final year of surgical residency, Dr. Blum served as the Administrative Chief General Surgery Resident. He went on to complete three additional years of training in plastic and reconstructive surgery at Tulane University where he also served as Administrative Chief Resident.

As a resident, Dr. Blum was a member of the American Society of Plastic Surgeons and American College of Surgeons. He has presented numerous papers and lectures at seminars, national conferences, and in academic settings; and he has published numerous journal articles and abstracts.
